    Macro question

Hi, I was looking on the internet and couldn't find this.

What means in a macro the "{}", because when I use that I read on party chat {Casting spell} and if I don't use it I read Casting spell.

I have seen a lot of macro examples with that like this one :

    /p {Casting spell} {Repose} <t>

    Thank you in advance!

I believe it's a notation for the autotranslate option - in the game it's shown with red / green brackets with arrows. To enter the autotranslate text type few first letters of the text and then press TAB to see the list of avialable translation. The benefit is that people using game client in another languages will see such text in their language instead of English.

Ah, so {Casting spell} will show for each one on is own language? Or you mean I should type on chat window Casting spell, hit tab and copy paste on my macro?

Thank you very much, anyway I'll test once I reach home.

Any (part of) text in autotranslation notations will show in the local client language - so if you put in {Casting spell} {Repose} they'll see two translate expressions - one for Casting spell action and one of the name of the Spell (Repose) as those might be called differently in other languages (especially in Japanese). You can use autotranslate anywhere where you can type in normal text - that includes macros - so simply start typing "cast" then hit Tab and locate in the list "Casting spell" and press Enter, then Space, type "Rep" and Tab, locate the Repose and press Enter. Once you try this a couple of times it will become very simple and easy to use.
