Why exclude people from Chocobo raising?

This almost makes me not care but not quite. It's still a breadcrumb of a feature dumbed down and placed out of reach.

It doesn't matter. Chocobo raising and gardens are recycled content from XI that wasn't even all that terrific that it needed to be exclusive to FC's. In fact, it's kind of dumbed down from what it was in XI - at least Gardening is. Chocobo raising probably will be, too. SE is trying VERY hard to make their guild system feel like guilds in other games without copying those systems, but all it's doing is alienating players who want to participate in content.


Things like the ability to earn FC money, access to buying special heirlooms and vanity mounts by doing hard content as a group? Good idea they haven't implemented because it's in another game.
Things like only FC's being able to grow gardens and then it's only 1-2 people who can actually do it, decided by the leadership? Terrible and exclusionary practice.

SE is one of those companies who will always do the right thing... after they have tried everything else first.

meh wait til personal housing all of this will be active on there. it is a lot of code they are writing from scratch gotta start somewhere then build on to it. what better place to start then with the housing system already in place, patience young padwans.

I've been waiting for that for almost 4 years now. I doubt any time it will be in the next year.

Very true... logically. However, the people complaining about this will complain that they have to pay for personal housing. Just wait, it'll happen. In fact, I'm looking forward to the future complaints about the ~300k FC room fee once it's released, as we already had some threads crying about just that. I can guarantee too, that had everything been free, they would complain that it doesn't "feel special" since everyone has access. These are the folks that will actively seek out anything to hate on.

It's best to either ignore their complaints or just disagree and then ignore. Make them pop a vein or two in anger that they can't grasp the idea that MMORPGs may require you to spend some time trying to form a means for an income for yourself.

-it's yet another purely visual thing without any depth whatsoever (feed choco an item to switch color doesn't really hold a candle next to VII,IX,XI & XIII-2 systems now does it?)

Actually, you can only push your chocobo into Rank 11 with chocobo raising, it's not a "purely visual" thing.

well belonging to a free company and owning a house should have special perks and benefits as for now there is not a hell of a lot of benefits to a free company or large house at that..!!! so join a big fc buy a house or do without.... the people who have worked together as a group / family should have some benefits... everyone feels like they are entitled to everything without working for it anymore in games and out of them...

I highly doubt all lots are taken in the 3 areas on your server plus they've already said that there will be more wards coming in 2.3.
