apparently real PvP is playing dress up and having an obscene gear advantage that lets you steamroll new players without even trying. Sorry but no, thats the problem with PvP in these themepark MMOs, the constant gear treadmill and if you dont gear up first you will just lose match after match after match and not stand a chance. Oh yeah thats real fun and engaging gameplay right there. Real PvPers PvP for the sake of killing someone else and having bragging rights, not to grind tokens for those new pants with higher stats.

Yeah it has nothing to do with MONTHS worth of effort to obtain the gear. Re-read some of the beginning discussions in this thread. Alot of us do not care nearly as much that morale is being thrown away, but because it makes PvP gear that we earned through alot of effort LESS THAN that of pve gear (due to missing stat). Although I do want the advantage because I earned my pvp gear, I don't want to just facestomp people without trying. The truth is, we're gonna facestomp new people anyway because our knowledge and reaction timings of pvp abilities plus the small nuances that we will avoid (such as double sleep). I just don't like the slap in the face to my grind for gear.

SAY WHAT? New MMO content that previous content gear isn't top tier in! No way! No one saw that coming! (There will undoubtedly be some sort of gear specialized for it that you're going to have to work for.)
