Frontlines resembles AB a lot, don't remember gear requirements there either, there were level caps, but not ilvl. Just buy or make some HQ i70 gear, and put materia in it, not a really hard thing to do. (unless you kept that gear, then it's even easier) I personally think it's going to be a lot of fun no real gear advantage, nothing but pug vs premade type deal.
