If we didnt have allagan and high allagan gear you would doing new coil in Darklight and the mobs would destroy you.....JUST like how an uber geared PVP player can kill a new PVP player. See the similarities there?

By making things fair it makes it more fun for a lot of the player base.

That's precisely why a matchmaking system exists - to pair people of similar rank and presumably item level and skill. In PvE, encounters scale based on the assumption that people who have a higher item level will be able to keep up with the higher demands of the fight. Matchmaking works similarly in that the system tries to pair people who are on equal footing. I realize in the context of Frontlines that matchmaking like the Wolves' Den won't work efficiently, but I do not defend the decision to remove Morale from the equation entirely because it eliminates all utility of PvP gear. Without Morale, the Direwolf Robe of Healing (PvP Rank 30) is inferior to the Cashmere Robe of Healing (PvE i90) because the latter has a Determination bonus and the former has a broken stat. That's just absurd.

However, please don't make the mistake of assuming that I'm defending a system that allows i100 players to one-shot others. Not at all! I've gotten slammed by enough high rank, high item level parties in my time. I just feel that if Morale is to be phased out of large scale encounters then there MUST be a replacement stat on the PvP gear that makes it useful in Frontlines (or maybe a set bonus?). Otherwise, a player like myself who hasn't even tried the new Coil Turns for lack of interest will be compelled to complete PvE content that I don't want to in order to play the PvP content that I do. At the moment that isn't a problem because Frontlines will be synced to 80, but in the future that will change.

Hell, I would be content if they allowed us to progress equally through PvP as well as PvE - that would eliminate barriers for both parties. Let's say the Swansgrace Cane didn't come with a huge morale bonus but instead had the same stats as High Allagan Crook. Same gear, different ways of achieving it. That way everyone's happy and no one is left behind due to a gear gap.
