never really complained or see complain too much abt pvp gear in wow, my exp is that some combos were simple too OP or specifically anything with a damn mage. but either way there is plenty of ppl that might disagree with what you are saying. I am simply trying to point out if you are going to do a pvp game which is different from pve in everyway then wouldn't u expect different set of gear? and if there is a different set of gear for pvp wouldn't you expect it to be allowed to use them (in this case im tanking abt morale)

Can anyone say with a straight face say that it makes even a small amount of sense that PVP gear is useless in PVP? I have just recently started PVPing and this update/addition is a blatent slap in the face, as another person on here posted earlier. People who made the effort to obtain gear and materia SHOULD have their advantage. That's why you put forth the effort, to become better. As a 1.0 player, this is another of the "catering to casuals" kind of addition like FATE grinding and simple crafting/gathering leveling. Let the PVPers PVP!!! And give me my Hamlet back!!! That is all.

its why i hit rank 40 and stopped. i just had no incentive to continue once i heard that it would have no benefit. and it p'd me off further that i spent all those months farming rank and gear for 10 and 12 hours a day non-stop, only for it to be useless for any new pvp content. loved how they put the gear in the Frontlines cinematic tho as if it matters. pathetic

In PvP? No you 100% shouldn't. The only "advantage" you should have is skill. Having a gear advantage is asinine.

The Frontlines Battles are very fun! Not the same rush (Wait.. Yes it is !!!) as Wolves' Den but still definitely a blast !!!! Great moments I think it's super fun !!! Also, don't worry if you want to use your pvp gear. The bonus you get still makes them very good in Frontlines battles !!!!

The way people rant on here about the pvp gear makes it sound like it doesnt work anywhere. I guess i missed the part where they removed the wolfs den matched lvl 50 parties with no ilvl cap in the update notes. Keep crying long enough though and maybe SE will add a future frontline mode that allows the pvp gear. You still wont be able to steamroll newbies like you want to (since they wont queue to it) and will probably keep getting matched up against teams with similar gear to you thus nullifying your handicap but hey at least you get to use your gear that you worked so hard for right? I dont understand why people are in favor of crutches in pvp anyway. Its like hackers who do that invisible hack in CoD and then start gloating about how awesome they are.
