Alot of us do not care nearly as much that morale is being thrown away, but because it makes PvP gear that we earned through alot of effort LESS THAN that of pve gear (due to missing stat). Although I do want the advantage because I earned my pvp gear, I don't want to just facestomp people without trying. The truth is, we're gonna facestomp new people anyway because our knowledge and reaction timings of pvp abilities plus the small nuances that we will avoid (such as double sleep). I just don't like the slap in the face to my grind for gear.
Here is how Frontlines will be, I will just find the most overpowered PvE AoE spell I can and get the best PvE weapon I can get and just hide behind a wall of allies and press the Flare button. I don't even play BLM but that is how I will play this non-morale pvp, and I will win because I can do three flares with convert and mana draw enough to do considerable damage to almost the entire enemy team.
People can say it will be good for casuals and newer players, but it wont be, the damage from players with PvE gear will be so high without morale that the whole mode will be a joke.
You do realize that you will be iLevel synced, so everyone will be at the same max iLevel right? Do you realize that you will have less than 4k hp ? i80 or not vs 1 to 24 ennemy do you think you will survive if 2 or 3 of them are spamming AOE like when they were pexing with fate ?
Y frontline is just another free grind tool like the fate.
Rush in, spam AOE, die or not, do it again ...
You can say what you want about gear, y it does help a lot high rank to win, but why are you asking to have same chance to win vs someone who is doing pvp for months and have like 4k arena and got so much exp about how to deal with it ?
I start pvp around february (2 months after 2.1 release) there was allready a lot of R30.. y i lost a lot of arena at the beginning, i had to group up with 1 or 2 friends and when we have got i70 pvp + i90 - 95 pve weapon, we were able to win 60-70% of the time, even if there was 1-2 or 3 R30 vs us.
When you do pve, you ask for the boss to do nothing because you have 0 exp on it ?
New player in pvp are the same new player in PVE, do you think a i70 pve boy can beat T9 ? no, and even with that, SE is not going to give free kill on it ?
Anyway, Frontline is going to be useless since this is just another restricted area, no pvp stat, no pvp gear, not able to play with friends, pve ennemy to kill. its like CT , free stuff but no real xp on how to deal with pve (or pvp for frontline).

I see frontlines as Alterac Valley in wow. Pve players trying to fight in paths without an objetive, just using an aoe spell or range attack. Other players afk in a pos.
And pvp players trying to conquest enemies pos or following another players looking for a diversion

I just want to say that in a MMO I believe time, work, and research is key to be a good player (when more when 60% are usually bad). So I do feel bad for the people who grinded their pvp gear for frontlines. I personally have not done the grinding but as a former wow pvper (gladiator) I am strongly against this elimination of morale for frontlines. If pVp can be done in PVE gear why even have a PVP stat? why even creating pvp gear in the first place. Because the req. skills and pace is completely different in these aspect of the game, the pvp gear represents how much you have been training (at least to me) and pve gear is how much work you put in with your static grp put on your progression. So why is it that a large scale pvp zone forcing all the pvpers to PVE. To me this like forcing a boxer to fight in a ring but no punching allowed
PS: for those that is arguing that PvP gear is going to 2 shot ppl all day long, a max end game gear dps can do the same (not to mention theres gonna be 48 enemies, which means like 2 mages with flare can prolly 2 shot you anyway) so why r we removing pvp defense

Because wolves den population is awful? Wow destroyed MMO PvP. Why not just make a separate game called WoW arena where you just sit in a lobby queue and purchase better items from the lobby window because that is literally what it is. Most players will not grind both gear sets, simply not enough time. UO/DAoC/ShadowBane/SWG/EQ PvP all 100% better than WoW, because it was mmorpg PvP. PvP stat is awful in every form.
This new generation of WoWPvPers are literally insane, they still carry the mantra of how much more skill pvp takes yet they throw a fit when equipment is equalized and it becomes almost all skill based instead of equipment advantage. That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. WoWPvPers need to drop the skill based mantra, you don't deserve to rub it in the ground like that. If they fix the queue problem with frontlines I bet the population will be astronomically higher than wolves den, how is that a bad thing for people who supposedly thrive off "skill" based competition?
