Actually, I'm fairly sure that many people strongly believe that it will really be musketeer, despise all evidences. But well...

What evidence?
That Yoshida said that it is not what people would think? What evidence is here that Yoshida mean the class name instead of the class mechanic and the role in a party?

crying people "MSK or riot" aren't enough to make you see what people are expecting ? People are wanting MSK (dps), when it could be corsair (supportin FFXI as I've heard, could have heard wrong), chemist (healer), machinist (whatever)...

inb4 "Could be MSK but not dps". Would make no sense. What would it be, tank ? ... be serious

You kinda keep saying the same thing over and over... but that aside.

Are you ok? Why are you so upset that we call it Musketeer instead of Gunner? By your logic we should still be calling Rogue/Ninja dagger because he called it that first when he said "dagger and gunner". Which just proves that Gunner is simply the type, not the specific class name. And as I said in the last post, since I do not have a clear class name to call it by, I call it by the last known class name.

And as I said before, I just want a class with guns. What exactly is a Musketeer? I do know that Yoshi, himself has called it a Musketter back when he was discussing it over two years ago.

Which of course he has the right to change the class name, but at the moment we do not have a proper class name. Regardless, seeing that we don't even know exactly what a Musketeer is in the eyes of SE or Yoshi, it would be silly to continue saying that people "strongly believe that it will really be musketeer".

Like I said before and will say again, for me and I'm sure for others. Its about the guns, not the name. The name is simply what we haven known it as since before 1.0 came out.
