As someone who loves mindless chaos in PvP content, I'm actually looking forward to this, assuming all goes well with the servers. The 8v8v8 originally wasn't that appealing to me. It still seemed a little too focused on organization that we could essentially have that competitive feel fulfilled through current setups. Very much looking forward to the chaos that is 72-man Frontlines LOL. For anyone that played WoW, preferably during the earlier years of it, I'm hoping this is going to be as gungho as Alterac Valley. Perhaps the equivalent of GW2 as well?

I'm really hoping for something as insane as old Alterac Valley. Even if we can only go in with an 8 man group, in my experience with that game 8 good players could definitely turn the tide. It remains to be seen how objectives and PVE aspects will tie into the match flow, though.

I'm more excited for Frontlines than anything else we've heard about yet in 2.3 or 2.4. Even more so now that we know the numbers involved. Can't wait!

curious they never mentioned this, Is it GC based or group based among the 8 players you go in as & affiliated yourself to a GC temporarily? Or are you bound by your original GC and restricted to play with your friends..?

It would be really, really dumb if your teams were restricted to GC affiliation. For starters, it'd be a huge Limsa zergfest. And your rank is tied to your GC, I'm not resetting to grind from 0 to 40 again.

I could see it assigning you to an alliance under that faction's colors for the duration of a match, which would make perfect sense.

Ya, would absolutely agree, "Rift" had a good system to cut down pvp que's "Mercenary" tags. Will be flat out honest I already despise what they have done with frontlines and think it's takes away from what remainder of the PvP community left. If they segregate players to play w/ their friends as they had done so before; honestly can say I won't be participating if it's affiliated only to your GC.. D:

The positive note to mention is that this gets people involved in pvp trying to nudge them in the direction of the Wolves Den. Ultimately it's fine; but SE has missed the greatest thing to understand. "There is NO incentive to PvP. Frontlines give the same xp as 4v4, 30 min match or first to 1000. means just as slow if not slower than 4's ques. MMR system has been implemented in 2.28 but what good is PvP in frontline/4v4 bracket if there is no Leaderboard system... still no incentive. If they have please do tell.

They pretty much brought my favorite kind of PvP to the table, complete and total chaos. Not a big PvP guy and the whole arena thing never interested me, but something like this will probably be something I participate in, regularly at that.

So...only 8 party premades like CT or will they allow for 24 men premade?
Both ways have their pros and cons...
