Test Server to prevent major bugs from the game!

What will it take to convince they need test server?

The LFP tools design could have been easily seen as useless with even a small test-group of people.

The login-issues could have been ironed out before letting it affect so many players.

New radical gameplay changes could be tested harmlessly so that SE wouldn't be forced to take babysteps in improving the overall game design.

Please make a test server it doesn't have to be international if translating issues costs too much just make sure amateurish game design flaws like LFP tool don't make it into the game as it makes the whole product seem cheap.

They're wasting a huge amount of developement time and money by trying things in the real game because they need to be polished in detail before they even see if the feature works or not.

Totally agree with this. Test Server is a real necessity for everyone.

1. It's not useless, it allows you to seek invites without having to sit there and yell that you want an invite or constantly stalk the party screen.

2. I assume you mean the ERROR: 1 or log-in queue...which are both because a ton of people are trying to log on at the same time

They already said they'll be implementing a test server. If you want it RIGHT NOW, though luck.

By the way, the login issues appeared simply because the servers were hammered. That's not something you reproduce on a test server.

They are doing changes with "baby" steps simply because developing and implementing them takes time. Not to test them.

They're not trying anything just in the live game (and if you think that they are you're out of your mind), they have their internal test team, but as the history of MMORPG demonstrated for a thousand times, bugs slip into live releases. Guess what? They do whether a test server exists or not.

Honestly the amount of players was 70% more than now just a few months ago. Let's be happy that 1.18 starts to remedy some of the issues in the game but let's not pretend the population suddenly popped into healthy numbers. Even at launch the whole zones (back when we had SEA) had less people than what you normally see in Jeuno a decade after the launch of XI.
