My only question is this: How will they implement it? I'm not talking about a second tier of jobs above the existing ones, I'm talking about brand new jobs that come off of base classes. Having jobs share levels with their base classes seems to have completely ruined the ability to add new jobs later, because people would just suddenly be able to be at max-level in the new job.

For instance, let's say that Dark Knight is added and that its base classes are Marauder 30/Thaumaturge 15. If you're already level 50 in all your classes/jobs, then when you go do the job quest for Dark Knight, you're instantly a level 50 Dark Knight. Go do your other job quests and BAM, content finished in a couple hours.\

IMHO, classes and jobs should have been completely separate, for leveling purposes. It's too late to change it, now, but I am curious to know how they're going to handle this in the future. Any ideas from the peanut gallery?
    Heya TheRogueX ^^

I speak for myself, I just love to start from scratch and lvl up classes to unlock jobs. You might be right about new jobs will automatically be max lvl.

So for them, before the cap raised to 60, I do pray they will fill up the missing links, so we could take at least all of them and lvl them up to 60.

I have all Jobs unlocked and capped. Fates and fates and some dungeons (now they give better XP), I tend to believe those like me worked hard to get to that point (Legacy players, you don't count, for 2.0 at least - I admit you worked hard in 1.0 )

So in a sense it's fair to get the new job 'ready' because of the class story that ends at 30.

What I am thinking is that we'll still have to start at lvl 30 (all good and nice ^^) to get the soulstone, and all stories only 35-40-45-50 to get it capped.

We just are going to have a "free pass" (just a feeling, not really free), not having to lvl up (31-32 etc..) and simply enjoy the story.

A new player would have to do it all, of course.

    That sums it up.

PS - I would so be falling off my chair if they would plan to make advanced jobs - oh boy so much fun! (drooling at awesome abilities)
