It's one thing if you accidently destroyed the item. But you actually used it. You have no right to ask to have the item restored. So you see nothing wrong with them giving the cold shoulder to a paying customer? Who has shelled out money for a game, and is now denied satisfaction? Not for any reason, but for their need to make more money? I do believe how they answered me would suggest they should not be doing item restores at all. For instance, you bought the wrong Soldiery item. YOU clicked the wrong item. The soldierys were used correctly though. So if you sent in a request to be given the proper item, you should be denied. Am I not correct?
You knowingly used the Fantasia and got mad after seeing what your ears looked like with a hood on. Just move on and maybe don't wear a hood or buy a fantasia?
I completely agree with the first part of your post - hence why I omitted it here.
If an individual is free to shoot himself, please make it so it's somewhere else than the foot - Natural Selection at it's finest. They won't be able to revert back time.
I purchased a candy - paid 10 bucks for it. I opened the package, I ate it, was disappointed with it - now give me back my money. Suuurrrreee
I hope SE is putting their brains into giving us better content and fixing real bugs (90000 anyone?) - time better spent.
Eeerrr..look. Me and many other people I know of used our free Fantasia months ago and totally regretted our decision. I requested my one-time restore a month, if not two months ago.. I simply explained I used the item, regretted my decision and wished to use the one time restore (sucked being a male kitty stucked with female name which in the past, I believed to be a neutral name).
I got it the next day, simple as that and did it aware that I can't use it in the future for stuff such as accidental Animus weapon discard (if that's even possible).
So I want to say it's unfair to OP, but at the same time I'd need to know exactly what was explained to S.E support when the one-time restore was requested. Maybe the message could pass something totally different than what was intended and thus that reply?
Anyways, this forum would be a lot better if most people stopped typing their opinion in such agressive manner. ¬¬ There's no need for some strong comments when the same message can be passed on in a lighter vibe.
Actually, you do have the option to "try the sweater on." You can save, what, up to 30+ different appearances in the main menu? Do you not also have the ability to create an alt, go through the opening intro, play around on that alt, level (or not) as far as you choose to see how the character plays and interacts with poses/gear etc.?
To me, it sounds like the OP tried on the sweater, saw how it looked, bought the sweater, wore the sweater to an event and then decided they didn't like how it looked with their jeans and wants a refund.
Oh my god, the word ratchet in the wild! This is a dream come true for me! I don't think I've ever seen it in the wild!
On topic: Stop wearing a cloak, your issue is solved. Hides hats, the rest of the issue is solved! Or stop being petty over such a minor detail. Maybe make a suggestion that they make it so ears reflect their proper length while in hoods and hats, and wait for them to fix it.
But wanting another bottle because of it? Ridiculous. I need to know, did you already blow your free one time restore? That could be the other reason why they won't oblige you.
I think the biggest factor in the policy shift is that fantasias are now available for purchase. As many people in this thread have stated, up until the recent patch, the fantasia was a "special" item in that it could only be obtained in game, from SE directly when they passed them out. Since there were no other means to obtain them, they would honor the one-time item restore. To be honest, I don't feel that SE should have given Fantasias back to people simply due to them being unhappy with their change, but not my call.Eeerrr..look. Now we can currently buy up to 9 (?). The Insured purchased an optional item, and didn't like the outcome. That is no fault of SE, and now they are actually stand to lose money if they provide the item restore. I wouldn't put it past SE to suspend/ban accounts and treat this as a "charge-back". lol. They're weird like that![]()
This is how I see it also. Thank you for putting it into words that make senseActually, you do have the option to "try the sweater on." To all those that keep saying, "accidentally destroyed an item" You do realize if the item is being destroyed by YOU, then you have to click a check box and then also click yes? With the name of said item being the color of the rarity of the item? So it would never be an "accident". YOU destroyed it, knowingly. It was YOUR fault. Why should you get it back?
Not to mention, this isn't about my looks. I was just giving you all back story. (Bad idea with the lack of empathetic beings around) This is about a bad morality. Others were given the same thing I am asking for. Did they not use it the "correct" way? Adding on to that, I did not want to lie and tell them some bogus story about how I accidentally used it. I told them the truth, because it's the right thing to do.
Another thing to think about. Why would there be a system to change the look of one piece of gear to another, if there weren't people like me? And who do you think you are fooling? This was put into place so that player's could have satisfaction from the look of their character. We are all somewhat meticulous.
Thanks to those of you who are being compassionate and understanding.
