A long time ago during beta, I logged into the beta forums to check and see if any new info had been release. I noticed that there was a link about a new race. Excited, I clicked the link and noticed the same blm specific pvp armor. The OP was presenting it as proof that Vieras were being added because of the shape of the boots and the ear features of the hat. The thread continued on for about 100 pages.

Moral of the story: People are going to assume/read between the lines/rage over the smallest things and there's sadly no way to stop them. The best you can do is come up with snarky names like the "Thief truthers" - those that believe that Thief is still going to come one day as a job to Rogues despite what has been said.

Reminds me about that thread with people getting angry that name changes didn't arrive with patch 2.28 based on the "evidence" that someone once said they wanted to work something out in that regard in future. Sure 2.28 was "in the future", but then so is 3.0, 4.8, or even 7.0. Unfortunately lots of people got their panties in a twist because they assumed "wanting to in future" meant "it's coming next patch".
