Just finished reinstalling everything, Downloaded the ffxiv realm reborn client, when i go to open ffxiv realm reborn it asks me to accept the term of agreement but i get a error that says

if i hit yes i can not accept the terms if i hit no i cannot accept the terms.

Problem 1 solved.
For some reason I had to go into documents > my games> ffxiv realm reborn > then select "FFXIV BOOT" and change settings via notepad

Seems sort of a crazy thing to do just to play the game. But now I am getting more errors when trying to download the patch

its the morning and the download still is not finished, every 20min or so i get an error and cannot update the game...

Any help would be greatly appreciated I would sure love to play the game I've been playing since sept 2010. When did installing / playing become so difficult.

I deleted everything again in an attempt to start over
I am now getting a new message that says

One or more version update files are corrupted
please restart ffxiv… ... if restarting does not solve the problem attempt the following procedures:
1.) Delete temporary internet files (Done)
2.) Disable or change your proxy server (Okay so what does this even mean? How do I even do it? Why should I have to do this to install a video game?)
3.) update network adapter driver software (I checked under device manager which told my my drivers are up to date)
4.) update the firmware of your router or other network equipment (Okay, so again, what does this even mean? How do I do it? Why should I have to change this to play a game?)

I have contacted se and am still waiting a response, if someone could please explain how to do steps 2 and 4.
