Hello! In need of server advice~

Hello everyone! Kazuma Arcend here to plead you fellow Warriors Of Light for some advice! I've been playing for some time now alongside some friends and so far I've been active in the Cactuar and Balmung server and boy do I feel sad about it, don't get me wrong, there are a few pros about each one and I'd love to say my opinion on it all but I can't write that much on here but if anyone wants to know it, which I highly doubt, then look here.

I'd just like a lovely opinion on everyone that is willing to tell me honestly if there's any server I can settle in where I could maybe start my own FC(or perhaps join one), meet people that truly enjoy the Final Fantasy series and many other things we may all have in common. I play this to enjoy the game as much as I can and to see every single drop of entertainment it has to offer, so go ahead and tell me people of Eorzea!

Kazuma, i been looking for the same answers the past few weeks. I tried cactuar, faerie and jenova. I can say that jenova is very active and has a lot of people of all levels. Low level zones arent ghost towns by any means! I play ffxiv for the same reasons you do... for the love of ff and to relax and enjoy the ride as well as making friends and helping out other! Id be happy to start a fc on Jenova with you!

My in game names on Jenova are: Dash Shadow and Dash Shadows. If you are ps4 my psn is Dashadow11

yeah... Cactuar feels only really busy in the main cities most other places can be ghost towns with one fate group if your lucky... and RMT spam is sooooo bad... to lazy to do all my crap again though and to cheap to change servers. X.x

but thats just my opinion of the server

I love being on Hyperion. It stays pretty busy, and there are a good handful of European players to keep things going during USA's off hours.

Thanks for the quick replies guys, just wish there was a simpler way to find out how the communities are in each server. If anyone else has any suggestions on servers that can convince me then please share! I just wanna enjoy myself with my little sis and buddies while also making more friendships and bonds in a server that I can finally settle in.

Moogle is similarly quiet to Cactuar, but it's got a large population of hardcore players who are progressing through the master-level content (second coil). I guess you could say the mood there is "quiet focus".

I personally would be interested in hearing about lively, laid-back servers...

Yup! Just wish I could find a server with many of those perks without it being a ghost town most of the time.

I get the feeling changing servers isn't going to solve your problem and only cause you to lose money in game and real life.
Maybe it's you? Maybe you need to re-evaluate the way you associate with others and the way you make friends.
Just because you were in 1 bad FC doesn't mean every FC on that server is bad. And you said you got your atma alone. There are plenty of atma farming parties, surely you could have joined one and made some friends while grinding away.


I'm on Behemoth and I made some friends here despite being in 3 different FCs and when I got tired of the fc/wasn't happy with it, I left and moved on. I have my own FC now mostly with real life friends though but I still keep in touch with friends I made on the server. There are going to be good & bad folk everywhere you go, so don't think that the pasture is greener on the other side.

Well, being on Hyperion for a long time now, I can say I don't want to move. Though there are many FCs around, there are a ton of helpful and laid back people. Just the other day I found myself and someone else sharing each others mobs to gain credit for an animus book. People can be pretty shouty, and the conversations actually can be pretty silly. Speculations, odd arguments, random BS... but then again there's your share of drama, but that's pretty much on most servers. It's very lively, full of pep and helpful players willing to answer questions, and basically what keeps me playing is the community on Hyperion.

Haha, very smart answer there Nuko, I wouldn't jump to conclusions and just want to change because of one FC and I know there's atma farm parties and I don't know how but somehow I couldn't never find one more than half the time at the times that I farmed the atmas, maybe I just had HORRID timing or something. Kinda hurt my heart a bit on the re-evaluating thing. @_@ I don't quickly judge or anything if that's what you think but I just can't seem to fit in no matter how long I look by myself. >:
