So out of the small percentage that can barely down Coil when it comes out. A way smaller percentage might be able to do the "pre-nerf" Coil.
I say we let them that down "pre-nerf" Coil a chance to decide once they down it.

I do not understand the crowd that wants to do it for the sake of doing it with no rewards.
It is the same as getting a doctorate degree in college only to get minimum wage as a reward in the end.
Brutal mode atm seems to be as worth it as doing Raven Hard in 1.X all over again. Just simply no point at all beside a pointless title.
Doing this content will better your character in no way. It would be better time spent spaming blayflox for myth.
They should give something for completing it. Even if it is just a 1 time reward like a Ring that is BIS or something for completing it.

There's a lot of people in the world that help for the sake of helping and not for the sake of receiving a tip and a thank you.
People that want to do brutal mode will have the chance to get their challenge, test out the pre modified version, and get a title for it. What more could you possibly want than the self-gratification of being able to down such content and get a title to show it off?

Improvement of myself or improvement and advancement of my guild. These are the main focus of endgame in mmos. There's a lot of people in the world that help for the sake of helping and not for the sake of receiving a tip and a thank you.

Doing this content will actually hinder advancement due to negligible rewards and large amount of time wasted completing the content.

You got to beat normal coil first before you unlock brutal version of that turn/fight.
So those that down and have Turn 6 on farm can chase after the harder version. So if you consider it a waste of time then don't bother you aren't forced to do it.
I can't speak for everyone, but as a hardcore raider, this is what I've been asking for: a "vanity" item. I don't care that the gear is the same as "normal" version. Make it harder, and give us something "prestigious" and I'm happy. That's why in several other threads, I don't care that 110 gear comes from outside coil. So long as there is one item (the weapon) that gives a reason to do it, I'm happy. Having a "brutal" version that rewards a title is just icing on the cake to me.I do not understand the crowd that wants to do it for the sake of doing it with no rewards.

Mountain climbers don't have a pot of gold waiting for them at the end of the climb.
The crowd that is intrigued by Binding Coil Brutal is not a crowd that would even give a shit about whether or not it would give a reward. It probably could give literally nothing - the players that seek thrills and incredible challenges would rise up to it and do it anyway.
Plenty of FF optional bosses give you absolutely nothing - or functionally nothing, given that "If you can beat it you no longer need it". People still challenge them for the sake of challenging and defeating them.
If you do not understand what the crowd seeking a challenge finds rewarding about it, Brutal Coil is not for you. If it did have a somehow significant reward, you would likely find it endlessly frustrating for there to be something locked behind something like Brutal Coil, because you clearly are not the type to enjoy a challenge. And that's it, that's all there is to it.

Considering this is the first attempt they are making at progression beyond simple gear (stat stick) upgrades, I would tend to encourage their efforts.
A title is a fantastic way to gauge interest in alternative rewards. I would also not oppose vanity gear that can be used to prism over gear to give a unique look.
I fully support rewarding those that do extra content (and extra difficulty) being rewarded. This game has been very 1 dimensional in rewards. If this is a place that progress can be made in that regard, then I am all too happy to reward those leet players with something new and different. I believe diversification of rewards will lead to a better game for everyone.

I would be sad if they added a mount or minion I was unable to get in brutal mode.
