New Zones

So, E3 showed us a few new zones, perhaps.

The first, shown in this new trailer, would appear to be Carteneau Flats, the location where the End of an Era trailer took place, given all the wreckage from the battle and Dalamud.

Another was shown in a short video showcasing Rouge and Ninja, at least I think it's a new zone.

You can see the Agelyss Wise, in Eastern La Noscea, however it's very far in the background, similar to how Pharos Sirius is in Upper La Noscea. It could just be Brayflox's Longstop, but it certainly isn't Eastern La Noscea, no matter where you go it isn't that far away. The angle makes me thing it's between Eastern and Lower La Noscea (you cannot see it from Lower), or perhaps a Central La Noscea zone. Does anyone have any pictures of Agelyss Wise from Brayflox, just to compare? The only sight of it I remember from Brayflox was on the mountain part, so no trees... There certainly is room for a zone between Eastern and Lower La Noscea though, if you go to the zoneline in Lower you cannot make out a single thing in Eastern, there seems to be a mountain in the way, which could be where this zone is, seeing as it appears to be high up.

Anyone else noticed any possible new zones? They confirmed Coerthas would be opened up "soon", but so far I actually haven't seen and sneak peaks of that.

Well, there's a random gate now in Revenant's Toll that will presumably lead to a new part of Coerthas, where Shiva most likely is.

I find it more likely that gate will lead to Coerthas Central Lowlands, which mysteriously vanished on the path from Coerthas Central Highlands to Mor Dhona. Don't think Shiva will be there, since it seems more likely she'll be in Coerthans Western Highlands, which is where the wall of ice appeared and wiped out an entire Hamlet which used to be located in Western Highlands. I think her cameo in the end of the trailer was at Snowcloak, too. Hard to tell.

Or Frontlines. Was stated it would lead off from Mor Dhona. So that new zone could easily be Frontlines.

Frontlines would be in the southern part of Mor Dhona. I hope the new zone is big enough to make the region Mor Dhona complete again. Even if southern Mor Dhona would be then a open-world PvP zone.
At least a zone you can smell the danger in it^^

Posted this in the PvP forums, but it looks like the Carteneau Flats zone is Frontlines.

These are two shots of Frontlines they showed us previously;

If you watch the first few seconds of the trailer, the zone is very similar, not to mention there is a group standing over a group of dead players (so, PvP), and a large group of players riding to a large location all on Maelstrom Chocobos (so Team Maelstrom). The tower in the background is virtually identical to the tower at the Twin Adder camp from the previous image.

I thought it was the new dungeon that is supposed to be an Island in La Noscea (the one where we might be able to fight against Kraken)?

Hmm, that's certainly possible, depends on the angle its at though. I think that puts the new location north east of Agelyss Wise;

There are a few islands in that direction, so yeah, I think you're right.

This would make sense as the monsters and areas that appear in the rest of the video also exist in the same location, the peistes for example.

I guess we shall find out!
