The lot of you are so damn impatient and have no grasp what-so-ever on what it takes to run or manage any software development project. All of the complainers have no sense of what it takes to even turn around a fail project either. Its so much easier for the likes of you to heap on the pessimistic comments without actually posting anything productive or helpful. Grow up. let me remind you this game is getting close to its 1 year mark and the vast majority of players have already given up on this game ever getting better. i still had hope, and would make suggestions and the same group flamed everything that was said by people that actually played the game. the part about being patient held relevance months ago, but this is beyond patience you want. you want people to follow like sheep and hope that one day the game will get better.

btw, you know nothing more about what the game needs than anyone else as it is only your opinion. you have an opinion just like i do and your is just as relevant, but the personal attacks are not.

You know what, this isn't a personal attack more so than it is my consistent disappointment in the community in general. I'm fed up of having to tolerate the endless regurgitation of people who endlessly complain without reason. I have been in this game 'before' day 1 back to the first closed beta. Additionally I work in software development and have been in the exact position Yoshi is in now. Having to clean up managerial messes created by a slew of ex-egomanicial managers.

There is a difference between opinion and pointless blathering without any form of constructive input. All you do is whine and complain and only point out any flaws without even bothering to point out any positive results. I'm my time I have seen the game evolve from a riddled buggy mess with constant server crashes, UI performance, problems, etc to where we are now. Maybe YOU don't like the direction of the game, but then why are you still here? If you hate the game and hate the direction that you see, then why are you even bothering to waste your time posting on the forums at all? Why bother? As you espoused in your earlier post, many people had left the game from the initial launch problems.

However because you are so blinded, what you are failing to realize with continual success with game balance changes, content and other patches, the community is coming back. Yes the game is getting close to the 1 year mark, but that does not make my point any less valid.

Much like you I still had hope and STILL DO have hope and patches like 1.18 continue to reinforce my optimism for the future. Patience still clearly relevant. As I waited, and I'm satisfied. The members in my LS are also satisfied an it sounds like a significant percentage of players on my server are satisfied. Eventually it will get to the point where the whiny, impatient portion of the community will become outcasts.

Also note I never said I know what is best for the game. But you continually assert that only your opinion is valid like you do know! Oh and anyone who doesn't agree with your perspective is also flamed. WOW. Seeing a pattern here? I'm obviously not the only one who feels this way about your posts.

I'm not following like sheep. I have had my share of issues with the game (Linkshell administration anyone?). But I also see things from a different perspective as a developer and project manager. Tanaka royally screwed the pooch and when a manager/director leads a project astray, it is NOT EASY TO FIX!

Its *almost* like you people don't read ANY dev posts. Yoshi-P stated previously that this would be the behavior for now, but it could be adjusted later, along with timers, etc. If you people are so sour and cynical why don't you quit the game already?

Well in all honesty, if its not working properly, and doesn't have all the intended features then just don't release it. I've seen and heard of so many player getting D/C and kicked from their run...its just ridiculous.

I've had it happen tonight as well. But see here is my problem: It was stated publicly that this would be the initial behavior until they work out instance server load issues. They know its an irritating limit but they WILL adjust it. The same goes for the timers.

Oh and I agree with that. Luckily Yoshida does too. However project priorities definitely dictated that battle system reform and balancing it more important.

right before Ogre boss i errored out after going through a door....

This d/c crap needs fixed, including leves. Polish needs to be their focus.

Oh, and on my first run to the dungeon i was walking south of Dragonhead along the path and lagged for a second and fell through the ground:

As you can see in the video, i was in Coerthas and started running north to the Ishgard area when i entered the Darkhold while walking underneath all the textures/models. Eventually, i was able to move back onto the ground, but it was inside the Darkhold. No one else was around. No music, monsters or people.

So i warped back to Dragonhead and on the 2nd run there, it happened a 2nd time...

...this time (no video), i walked through the tunnels and was actually put right behind the NPC to enter the raid (but behind the fence, where you remain stuck unless you warp).


There's all sorts of little bugs like this all over the FF14 world. While it was cool in Alpha/Beta, it's starting to get rather annoying. I really hope they can polish this game.
