Out of curiosity since you are dissapointed, what questions would you ask instead?

Well first off i wouldn't ask questions during an E3 event because that's stupid. you don't go to an E3 event to do a Q&A. but i would have liked to seen something about oh idk the gun class, the new race, Golen Saucer, the expansion, fanfest dates, fanfest content, and probably more if I were to spend more time thinking about it. All of these were things they could/should have talked about this afternoon and or hopefully Thursday. TBH IDK why they flew yoshi out here to answer questions about hug emotes. They could have easily done that from Japan and avoided E3 all together

Of course I always want more, but I enjoyed the things that where talked about. The new class coming in 2.4 (Ninja), building airships, same sex marriage, New healer/tank classes coming in the expansion, Brutal mode for coil, a little about Shiva.

I also enjoyed that they addressed quality of life things like the chocobo queue and personal housing. They also responded to people who want solo instances/ 8 mans/ raids for fc. I rather have a company tell me they are looking into it vaguely then never address questions from the forum, like these questions.

More about the Frontier area's around Mor Dohna that will open up.
More about the hunting thing they touched up on. We know nothing about it besides the fact that they are working on it instead of more fates. Seems like they might be roaming bosses?
Will all classes get other jobs, like arcanist gets both SCH and SMN?
Any new information about a new race? I thought before ARR came out, they talked about a new race and even had polling on it.
Any new forms of gameplay to do on the side of raiding. Like chocobo breeding or choco racing, or card games like in ff9 and the 1.0 trailers for ffxiv. Something else to do for I look forward to logging in besides raid / dungeon farming.


The expansion seems far away from what was revealed. Maybe the expansion won't even be out before the next E3 O_O

I'm sure this will be just like last year. English live letter sucked last year. This one wasn't so bad.
I'm sure there'll be a lot more information. Can't expect them to blurt out the first 30 min of E3.

However, I'm disappointed with no Thief job. I love Ninja, but Rogue seems too badass to only be a class.
Everyone knows no one will play it past 30 :/ And it's a lot more appealing to me than NIN.

I get why there can't be a THF guild lorewise, but there sure as hell can be a Master Thief NPC to teach us the Thief job.

Aside from the new class/job which is great, the rest is responses to topics already asked on the forum which could have been answered here.They should have shared a bit more unique information, stuff we aren't aware of and asking about.

The constant cycle of Coil/Crystal Tower isn't going to be the only "endgame" we will get till after the expansion, right? From the answers we got, it appears that 8 man content is for Coil only, which is pretty crappy, 4 player dungeons with no real drive to do them unless you want tomes, and to be honest you'd be better off just waiting a patch, because capping weekly or trying to gear up is just a waste of your time. It'll be handed out later with half the effort. Ability/Action stats on weapons/gear aren't even considered, so it's vertical progression for gear (Coil/Tomes), no working towards custom gear builds.

To anyone who thinks it's an MMO, it is going to have grind, I agree grind can be good, it's just done bad when you are a player that is playing more than 1 hour a day where all your effort is meaningless every patch.

At least it wasn't as bad as last years E3 English LL.

Just answering your question, not claiming any insider info, but just because it's 3.0 doesn't mean they have to complete 2.6,2.7,2.8 etc. before they're able to implement an expansion. That's just a version number used to reference major patches.
