lol I love how you edited your first post on this page to make it look like I was asking you about what the buff was even after you finished explaining it. Your first post on this page before it was edited was only a single sentence with no description of what Monk was buffed with.
Either way, I've never had no one not invite me on Monk before the buff. Duty Finder and doing things with a Linkshell and FC made it no problem if there was a so-called Monk ban in the game before the buff.

1000 character limit and an incomplete sentence. You should of waited for the edit(like this one did) after seeing the sentence just stop like that. Only reason I reposted the notes was because I assumed you wanted more info or a source or something. So I looked up the notes.lol I love how you edited your first post on this page to make it look like I was asking you about what the buff was even after you finished explaining it. It wasn't a monk ban. melee bane, ban=/=bane, lots of people didn't really want or like melee and thought it was dangerous to bring one over a ranged character (more recent was garuda extreme when something like this happened for melee). You just got lucky. there's plenty of pages in the monk temple on this topic among the buffs and the excitement for them. It wasn't impossible just more unlikely to get a party as a melee back then.
I just dunno how you could have missed this information or not noticed your damage just increase overnight after a patch. also while it wasn't noted inside the patch notes as far as I can tell they also fixed bootshine to auto crit during perfect balance.

There is no time stamp that matches my current time on posts so its impossible to know when you posted or to know that you plan to continue adding to your post. smh Right now it is 8 pm but the forums have the time as something else.1000 character limit and an incomplete sentence. All jobs have no problem progressing in end game. Just because you weren't the first choice doesn't mean you were excluded out of ever progressing. It isn't anything compared to how FFXI was and I really questions someone's skill in their job if they keep saying people won't invite them to party.
I never got kicked or the party disband when they found out I was in the party as a Monk. So I question a persons skill if they couldn't get a party in 2.0-2.1.

Correct me if I'm mistaken but there IS a time stamp on posts it's right above your name. You posted at 6:42PM (My timezone of course)
*Edit*
There should also be a timestamp on when you edited your post. 2 minutes after you posted the above message to be precise.

As I wrote in the same post, the time is not the actual time I have where I live so I can't not use that to even know when to no reply to someones post. I find it crazy that I am suppose to predict what someone is going to do before they do it on a online forum lol.

All jobs at this present date and time have no problem. But it's not like there never was a problem at all or can't happen again. Deny it all you want. Also you said you found parties that were nice. That's good for you. I did too, but not all melee were so lucky. Some rolled Bards just to be able to play.
I already said i got lucky and found a group to play with. This isn't about me. But it's a fact it originally was hard for melee to find a party. I don't need you to back me up when you can go look at the early monk forum posts and see for yourself and so can anyone else if they so wished. Other's experienced it and don't need to look back at it. I only dealt with it for a week or two, others.. well they had worse times.
Partying in FF14 has nothing to do with ffXI I don't really see the point in bringing it up.
There was no first or last choice just play a bard and easily get a party.Plenty of groups on hyperion the world you're on right now did Full range, No melee, PLD/PLD,WHM/WHM, all the time. Some even still do.(This one is kinda weird) the ones that still do are easy to tell. They have no melee slots in their PF. Back then they just barely shouted for melee DPS pre patch. This is all fact. There's no opinion behind it. I don't know how you never noticed in between shouts and such. Even if it never happened to you it should of been clearly visible.
Garuda EX even had threads on this same forum just about not being able to get in parties as a melee. But that's a different story. It's still class segregation.
Also yes all posts have a timestamp. In order for it to be correct time you have to change your timezone in the settings. I'm not sure what the default is anymore.
edit: Top right of page settings > General settings and you can edit timezone and dst settings

My settings are on the right time zone and it is still incorrect. None of this matters, dont expect me to hold off replying because you expect me to read your mind and know you are going to edit your post. You can just end any talk about that right now.
Like I said several times before. If you can't progress in this game its not because of they systems put in place or your job choice. It is because you are not skilled enough to complete the content correctly on your job choice. If you do not know how to play your job, dont blame the people who refuse to invite a bad player into their party.
At this point the thread is off topic because people want to type essays about the so-called prevention from people playing Monk in end game. The reality is that these people didn't know how to play Monk effectively to be an asset to their parties.
Bootshine potency increase from 130 to 150
True Strike positional bonus changed from 5%(10%?) crit chance to 190 potency
Twin Snake duration increase from 12 sec to 15 sec
Demolish given an initial damage component
Greased Lightning increased from 7% bonus damage/stack to 9%
Shoulder Tackle recast time reduced from 90 sec to 30 sec
