Doesn't matter how many new tank or healer jobs a person who wants to play dps will play dps. There is less responsibility with playing dps one of the reasons why they are more popular. It is a lot more apparent when a tank or healer is messing up, mobs running around everywhere tank not holding aggro, people dying from not being healed. Its less apparent when a dps is doing low dps.

    o_O

As a tank I basically have the job to afk half the fight hitting 1, 2, 3, 1, 4, 5, 1, 4, 6 over and over until the mob is dead.

I can honestly say I've never heard anyone saying "man we would have Turn 6/7/8 down by now if only our tank was better"

99.9% of the time it is "our dps aren't putting out enough to beat the enrage/specific mechanic/etc"

DPS is a MUCH more demanding job than tanking for sure. And healing in most cases.
