I guess that depends on how well you can read. People want a thief, not a rogue, and they damn sure don't want it to be a class. Do you really not see why asking for one of the most common FF jobs (With lore attached, AF, full 9 yards) that had several appearances as the protagonist's role isn't that far fetched? I mean, I know some people understand some topics better than others but I didn't think an explanation on why people want Thief in a FF game. It boggles the mind.
