Ok so then if that is the case from 2.4 and beyond you must only invite classes to your end game parties because class is just like a job in your derpy brain of yours.I can't believe this thread is 71pgs long... People need to stop crying about THF not being a "job". We don't even know what the skillset for ROG will be, it might even have that precious Steal and Treasure Hunter that people keep QQing over. Also, please stop bitching about ROG becoming NIN... Just like every other job in FFXIV, they will get full use of the corresponding class skills. This includes that possibility of Steal/Treasure Hunter, even Sneak/Trick Attack (which personally I think ROG will have, making them great hate controllers, which in turn would make PLD a more viable tank option again).
So please X_X Just let the madness cease... This thread has gone way beyond the realm of "discussion".

lol... I did not say classes are just like jobs. I said jobs get all the skills from their corresponding class. This means that you have your class skills/traits PLUS your job skills/traits. Why is that so hard for you to understand?

Do you not understand that the job is called Ninja and its play style will be different than a Thief because of Ninja magic and hand signs? Even though it still has the Rogue actions, Ninja job will be fashioned as a Ninja, as the level cap raises you will get more Ninja actions. also There will be no Thief Relic gear or weapons? Stop telling people to pretend they are a Thief when the game and everything about the job saids otherwise.

No, being a NIN will add "Ninja magic and hand signs". Note the difference. There will be no THF relic gear/weapons because there is no THF job. Get over yourself, you're arguing over the naming of a class. It's easy to make the connection between ROG (THF) and NIN when play style is so similar.Do you not understand that the job is called Ninja and its play style will be different than a Thief because of Ninja magic and hand signs? EDIT: Also I didn't impose any personal attack on you or what you said if you'll notice. Your post is simply the one above mine. I actually hit post before even seeing yours as you posted while I was still writing. Proof that some people just want to fight about anything they can.

You can count but you can't understand a basic concept that the requested Thief job is not Ninja and that Rogue class will not give players what they want which is a Thief Job. Derp-a-Dee-Doo-Dah-DAY!72 pages lol

SE decided not to implement a THF job. Give it up, you lost. Maybe you should just...

2.4 update: "look at that Thief wearing Ninja clothes! derp"

Except all Thief job advocates want Thief job right now. They have very low, or no, patience. There could possibly be a Thief job, or this might be one of the few Final Fantasy games that don't have it. That's all it is.
Which is why I used it as an example. Thief has an iconic image, that many players wanted, and were looking forward to when the possibility presented itself, myself included. Making rogue the only version of Thief in this game is a big F-U to people who've come to expect Thieves iconic imagery to be represented and playable at endgame. As for your example on Samurai, I think the issue with that would be FF has built up the reasoning that Samurai should be using katanas. Randomly giving it a spear because it was like that historically is a big F-U to people who've come to expect Samurai's iconic weapon to be the weapon of choice.
