Dude, I know!! Atma is so hard to get! Oh wait, I'm currently working on Novus. Seriously though; the RNG does suck but it's been present in the game. Think back to Turns 1-5 and the weekly lockout. How many people do you think hoped each week that their loot would drop in those chests? They put in equal effort and didn't get armor for weeks. But guess what? They came back every week to roll the dice. Same applies for Atma. Put in the work or go home. These threads are so pointless. :/

I have one more to get (been pecking away at it since 2.2). In Lower La Noscea alone, I have logged many hours and have done well over 100 fates. I have 3 zenith to see which is best for getting gold. I have gone solo and in parties with my long-suffering FC mates. I have spent hours there in one stretch and I have gone for <30 minutes. I still do not have that one. Others who went with me now have 2, 3, and even 5 of the same atma. There is a chance I will NEVER see this atma (statistical improbability but definitely a possibility) and this should NOT be the case.
And no, getting this atma will not be 'sweeter' for the time it took. I feel bad for dragging my friends along and I despise this part of the game. I am not skilled enough to get the coil or levi weapons yet, but DO plan to get there at some point. The entire game is endgame... I'm not about to NOT try raiding.

Worse still... I sub SCH and have every intention of getting an atma for that class as well.

If everything is guaranteed then we are not talking about a game, we are talking about a job, this is the big problem of this game, ppl is used to "if i do x, i'm entitled to Y" and i agree, you should be rewarded for doing content, but you can't ask to have every single piece of gear obtainable via tokens or something like this, because if you want everything based on tokens, then i want tokens out of dungeons. this game is filled with lots of players with very different tastes, this wouldn't happen in any other MMO but this is a FF. the franchise has fans with different tastes and SE should respond to everyone.

I have chosen not to do dungeons because i'm bored of instanced content, so i'm suffering a slower progression. if you can have your sure atma drop, then i should have a way to gear my character w/o repeating the same instanced content over a over.
