1.Always happened, altough it stopped happening after the NPC Linkpearl messaged me that they required my help.

    Character Name:
    Judge Xero
    Race:
    Hyur M
    World:
    Rabanastre

    Class/Skill Rank:
    Lancer, Rank 28

    Physical Level:
    50

    Area and Coordinates:
    Willelda NPC at Lancer Guild

    Party or Solo:
    Solo

    NPC Name:
    Willelda

    Monster Name:
    None

    Steps:
I haven't attempted the R20 Lancer quest yet so I wanted to activate it. I went to the Lancer's Guild to talk to Willelda. Once I clicked on her, her mouth would move but no text would appear. Then nothing else would happen, I would be stuck there waiting for the text to appear but it never came. I would have to close out of the game and log back in. Yesterday while I was at Camp Broken Water my NPC Linkpearl flashed and told me I had a quest available for Lancer. Now I can talk to Willelda.

There is actually a larger thread for this, although its more generic as this is happening with a lot of different NPC's to a lot of different individuals.

It appears this issue is brought on by utilizing a font other than the original one.

EDIT:And theres still one individual that says that doesn't matter.

I'm guessing there may be a few different issue going on with this. I have the standard font and I still got this error. My guess would be that the game got confused as to what text should be displayed. Since I later got a NPC Linkpearl message for a R30 Lancer quest even though I hadn't even Talked to Willelda about the R20 quest. Seems to be people who Rank up really fast without doing any of the story quests get a glitch too. The Quests get overlapped when talking to the NPC's afterwards.
