Fun Times before Maintenance

Leveling up my MRD about 35 minutes before Maintenance starts I hit 20 and jump into Halatali quickly. I don't know if the WHM napped or if he dc'd but I end up dieing to first mob and he leaves. Queing for a healer we decide to press on while waiting. Finding a pattern with the BRD kiting one mob around while the BLM and I dealing with the other 2 the BLM healing the group when needed.

We progress through and down the 1st boss easily but run into poor luck with the chains, 4 out of 5 generating 3 spark elementals slowing us down. Persevering to the 2nd boss we down him without causality still no healer. With less then 5 minutes remaining we make it the final boss launching right into him.

Tbh we were 2-3 minutes over the time Maintenance should have started but the 3 of us did it and I ended up with the Marauder weapon. Though sever kicked us before I could write down your names I want to thank the 2 dps who made it such a blast. Best Wishes and God Bless you.

I had something similar the other day in Thousand Maws. I joined an in progress, which was right at the beginning of the dungeon, and the tank had left and there was me, a dragoon and a healer. I was arcanist at the time so I popped topaz carbuncle and my pet and the dragoon tanked everything to the last boss when a tank popped in just before we started. It was really fun
