I have no clue what world you people live in.
As a DPS I've never queue for more then 15 mins often less.
Commendations.
If I play dps I only give it out to other dps.
If I play tank I only give it out to healers.
If I play healer I only give it out to tank.
Only if they should be getting a commendation.
There are always exceptions to the rules!
Never a mind was changed on an internet board, no matter how good your arguments are...

As a player of a damage-dealing class, I'm not surprised at long wait times. Not just in this game, by the by. There is a shortage of players taking the healer and (especially) the tank roles. Some don't want the responsibility that comes with it. Some don't want the blame when something goes wrong (especially when it isn't their fault). I know that I would certainly try tanking and healing for those that are in my Free Company and Linkshells. Maybe on my friendlist if I feel really comfortable with them. I haven't filled a healing role since I regularly a played a Monk/ Mesmer in the original Guild Wars.
I am not desperate enough to check all the other languages. Now if I were at least passably fluent in basic communication in Japanese and Deutsch. I can sort-of do it in French as I took two years of it in High School, but it's not what's called "conversational French" meaning "the language that average native speaks daily; it's more laughably formal". But, if they don't mind me taking the time for me to mentally translate and recall what I learned some 15 years ago, I can get the gist of what they're saying. I once translated a postcard sent to my mother that was written in French. There was only one word that I didn't know, but based on how it was used in the sentence, I got the gist of what they said.
However, it's probably best that I spare the French/Japanese/German-speakers from my not being fluent in their mother-tongues and not join their parties. Why give them, and myself, the headaches?
I LIKE the fence. I get 2 groups to laugh at then.
tbh honest I think you should take DF as a tool to help you get into a party, if that tool doesn't work you can always resort to the old ways: Shout/PF etc...
Also teaming up with a tank or healer and queing again will cut your waiting time usually! good luck
The best party size solution would be to make it 5 man light party, 10 man full party. This is pretty much the party size standard the rest of other MMOs use.
In a light party, this would pull an extra DPS person out of the queue, moving the DPS queue faster. An extra DPS will mean that there is 50% less stress on the other 2 DPS in the party already. The player base would discriminate less on DPS players.
In a Full Party, each already existing DPS would have 25% less stress.
I can't wait for the party list to show TP of all members so that the tanks and healers know how fast Bard AOE drains their TP.

More people are doing duty roulettes with their FC/friends now. That might be the reason for the increased wait time? However, when I register solo as a DPS, I've only noticed a 3-4 minute longer wait time since patch 2.28. On Leviathan, I'd say it only takes about 10 minutes for DPS depending on the time of day.
