News flash: Playing MMO ARE a waste of time. Go study/work instead of playing. You play, expect more time wasted. You judge others, others will judge you back. lol

Now, before this becomes a personal thing, let me tell you that, for me, this game is a way to relax from my work which takes up the majority of my time.

I'm tired of people running hard mode dungeons with crafting/gathering gear, forcing the rest of the party to make up for the lack of damage, healing or damage mitigation.

You can run dungeons to SB if you make a party finder group and state your intentions.
If you want that, do it, no problem.
But joining regular parties or duty roulettes with that kind of gear is, in my opinion, just a way to leech and get carried. And I don't support that kind of behaviour.

How could this be possible? Do you mean if people want to do a SR and you don't want to?
Why not just tell them to go at normal pace instead of gimping yourself and forcing your preferences on the rest of the party?

And you think it's fun for a tank to get pushed to take on more mobs than he/she wants because healers or DDs can't get enough and pull stuff?
Is it fun for a DD to hold back because the tank can't hold aggro?
If you don't want to heal when playing a healer...

They are untradeable, but not unique, so you can have more than one. You can buy them from the calamity salvager for 5k or so (forget the actual price, it's a tiny amount of gil)

Again, what about aetherite rings? easily craftable.

i CAN SR in my normal gear
i CAN SR in SB jewelry. the only negative is i cannot DD as much (OH NO!)
i DON'T always want to SR depending on mood or party make-up.
However i find far too many times that i get no say in the matter. i can barely SS/Protect the party before some tanks jets off to grab all the way past the bridge.
