FATE's partecipation rewards ( ATMA/ALEXANDRITE )

I got it from a fate, but was gold. It's hard NOT to get gold if you wanna finish fates fast so next ones spawns faster.

I can confirm that Alexandrite drops from FATEs with a bronze rating. That was luck because I barely did 10 FATEs. 200+ FATEs later I didn't even get a 2nd Alexandrite and frankly was discouraged because my time would have been better spent grinding 800 mythology.

The only advanate that I can see with FATEs is you get Alexandrite and literally bypass the mysterious maps.

You can actually get atma from a failed fate as long as you hold a bronze, got one from that method myself.

I do recall reading "you can obtain atma through PARTICIPATION in FATEs". Participation does not equal winning, just as you can obtain 1 Odin Mantle for failing.

I left a FATE to go to another before it was finished. I got a Gold rating and an Alexandrite. So I know you can leave it, but I dunno about any ratings other than Gold.

Anybody else got it with a bronze rating+leaving FATE ?

I got atma from two zones doing very minimum damage. All you have to do is show up and do an action. Got Western La Noscea from 1 shield lob on south tide gate and in eastern thanalan from a few hits as well. Also got one from a failed fate. All I did for atma farming was run from fate to fate tag one mob a time or two and move on. I only finished a fate if no other was up. (I know it's been a month since a last response but confirmations are confirmations)

I just finished farming my atmas (12/12 in 4 days, GG), and I never saw anyone doing that on our server. That's a pretty risky move because there's a lot of newbs running around and not actually finishing the fates.

Perhaps they should adjust the drops so that a higher rating has a higher drop rate? The drop rate at the moment is, iirc, 1%; if you kept that for bronze and had a 3% rate for silver and 5% for gold... it would still be a tedious grind, but people would be inclined to stick around and finish it. Win/win.

Do you still recive the ATMA/Alexandrite if you leave the fate? Or do you need to stay till the end?
Does bronze rating ensure you to have ATMA/Alexandrite? Or do you need Gold?

Unsure if this is the case for Alexandrite, but as long as you have any participation you can get Atma. I once just barely managed to reach a FATE, had time only to throw out a single Aero spell before the other players there killed it, and I to my utter shock was rewarded with the area's Atma crystal.
