How do I reach 450 in T8 as MNK?

Hello all,

My grp has beaten all of Second Coil, so i've been trying to set individual goals for myself to keep things interesting beyond the hope of a mnk drop. So i wanted to see if i can reach a new dps height

Ive seen around that some mnks are getting around 450 in t8. How do you do that? Will my gear need to be better or is it about the items im using/not using and rotation?

I have: 110 tome weap
high allagan head
soldier body -i100
high allagan belt
myth pants
allagan feet(i90)
mog choker
high allagan earrings
myth/allagan wrist
soldier ring- i110
myth ring

Current mnk ilvl = i100

I use buttons in a blanket, but I dont use any potions. Sometimes i wont use food either tbh. W/ and w/o food i post around 420 for the full encounter,w/ highest being 423. Will I need to pop x-potions of strength to reach 450? Is my rotation just not right? I haven't tried keeping up fracture throughout whole fight either. I drop it when i see my tp getting low and invig is not quite back yet. Will I have to keep it up whole fight to reach that height?

Any tips from mnks who have posted that high would be appreciated.

Usually, that's where DRGs are averaging 457 in there while MNKs are averaging close to 500 so yeah...

Somewhat on topic: how do you figure out your average damage in the first place?

Those numbers are probably from 1 or a few of these things:
_ HA weapon.
_ Soldiery pants at least. It's a direct upgrade of myth pants.
_ HA or upgraded soldiery gear where you have i90.
_ Not handling a single mechanics in t8. I know a guy was bragging in one of my LS the other day and I was laughing at it cause he just DPS...
For the gears you have, 420 is pretty good imo, depending on how much paeon you're getting from the bard and how many mechanics you're handling.

i see. Ive been holding off on buying more soldiery gear since i've already defeated nael in this gear, but i do know that the pants are good(bis when upgraded i believe?). as for responsibilities Im usually always on boss unless bard gets allagan field(i'll then do homing missile, which isnt a problem). i'll usually call for paeon if i get to 300 tp. Is 420 bad considering that?

maintain debuffs/buffs/dots, multi dot (get avatar and dreads with dots), line up howling fist to hit both avatar and dread, and ensure your tp/uptime is 100%. tp song helps in this fight tremendously.

thank you for your post. i do usually hit the dread and avatar with howling fist. i don't hit the boss with demolish though b4 moving to dread; i usually use the demolish on the dread and then go into dragon kick etc on it. so i should be demoing the boss, in addition to the ToD b4 going to dread, and then use demo on dread? our dread goes down pretty fast so i always thought that if i couldnt get demo on it at the beginning then i would lose dps since it wouldnt tick all the way down. from what i understand, you're saying that if i dont get it on at beginning, but neglect to use it on dread completely as well, then it would be an even greater dps loss?

Me too. I've not seen a single parse of anyone doing 500. I've seen numbers in the 480 region but nothing higher than that.

480 for full encounter or mid fight? How geared were they? Been trying to get multiple point of references to determine what my max can be for my current gear/ilvl.

That was mostlikely with another Monk on Dragonkick duty so the better geared one could use Bootshine instead which is a huge DPS increase.
Also he surely did not use the LB.
