I am sorry to burst your bubble, this is nothing like FFXI
You compare what they did here to what they had in FFXI hahaha, you must be joking, this stuff in FFXIV arr is a cake walk compared to the stuff they had in FFXI, they had jailers, 100 floor nyzule, dynamis, relic weapons that took 10's of 1000's of byne bills it was crazy hard to make gil, alexandrite and myth weapon trials.
Please don't even compare FFXI was way worse but guess what I liked it but, please do not compare, FFXIV arr has way easier stuff, if you ask me they are cutting us a break.
Not reading the thread but Levi EX was well done. They got that fight right besides the auto wipe if you are pushing DPS too hard.
FFXI all over again? This is relevant to my interests

If "all you do" is grind FATEs for Atma/Alexandrite, you're clearly not getting the most entertainment value for your dollar and may want to re-visit why you're actually playing this game.

After reading alot of your comments on the comment made by myself earlier, i do realize now that the comment i made was kind of misleading and as some of you posted flat out wrong. Its my choice to fate grind or myth grind or just farm levi ex for a weapon. Its not really fair to say that the game is heading in a dull direction and it wasnt right of me to state that i was stating a fact when it was just my opinion. Kudos to the one who corrected my post lol. Anyhow, if i have offended anyone who is a fan of this game by the comment i made, i do apologize and i take back what i said about FFXIV.

Did you actually play FFXI? This game has almost nothing in common with it.Now before anyone flames me for the above mentioned title, I just want to state that FFXIV: ARR is a great game. I play it every day for several hours a day. With that being said, i think the direction this game is currently going is not a very good one. All we do now is basically grind FATEs for alexandrite/atma, grind for tomes to buy gear, mysterious maps, crafting items etc. I mean is this really how the game is going to be?
If you actually fully completed a Mog Trial, you'll know that FFXIV atma grinding is like winning the lottery in comparison.

Sorry but this grind is anything but like FFXI. I'm going to have to jump on the other side of the fence (which I don't like) and say that if you don't like it don't do it. Relic grind is optional, Having said that I actually enjoy it. It gives me something to do in this game. Even if it is mind numbing. The game pre 2.2 was boring as hell login on Monday do T1-T4, Cap Tomes, Login on Wed do T5 and wait until Monday to do anything. Now I have a reason to login more than 2-3 days a week.
I actually like the fact that they make Hard mode dungeons, Eventually we'll have them all remade. At least I can replay a dungeon and enjoy the beauty and design without having to level sync. As for the hunts I'm really excited about those, Should bring a nice feeling with having to hunt down NMs.
But again Far from FFXI grinds, When Yoshi adds Mythic Weapons that take 2 years to complete come talk to me....... LOL FFXI all over again!
You don't need to, It your opinion and everyone has the right to say what they want.
I NEED MY PAPER!!!

Just wanted to mention that since the dawn of the last astral era players have been BEGGING for this game to be more like FFXI. But just as many if not more players have begged for it to not be like FFXI.
I wouldn't mind seeing some elements of FFXI in the overworld content, tbh. Might be better than boring ol' FATEs. Campaign/Besieged style battles and such. Then again, that would probably cause massive server issues so nevermind me. =)
