Let me put my opinion bluntly then. If you having all your healing covered by EoS and are not dps'ing but are half / fully afk on follow, you are no different than a bot and should receive a perma ban for botting.

I think saying people should be banned for it is worse than doing it. In my opinion it's an extreme, and gross, reaction to something that is not an issue but a preference of a player.

Now if SE takes away the ability to summon Eos in low level dungeons or halves her ability, I'd be fine with it. Even though it'd be nice to keep her the way she is now, as I DPS when I do low level dungeons as a SCH because I want them to go quicker.

If that bothers you so much then you play SCH too! Become a master of being useful and useless at the same time and get crap for it! You'll even help with DF queue times overall with more healers in the pool! Everyone wins!

Why aren't you guys using vote-kick for this? Someone using /follow, SCH or not, can be assumed to be AFK. You can't stop a SCH from manually running and not healing, but at least you're forcing them to actually sit at their screen for credit.

Seriously, if everyone just started kicking SCH who do this, you would see the problem vanish as they would stop getting their roulette credit and bonuses. The community just has to take collective stand against it.

An healer that lets its Eos heal is no more lazy than a tank that aggro things and then wait the things die maybe pressing 1 1 1 sometime.

Then healers have duties as Bray hard, that they are the only ones pressed to do their job. DPS there just sit and do their rotations until mobs die. Tanks just aggro a pack, then sitting there popping up cooldowns when they ready. Healer have all the hell out to keep tank alive and one error is a wipe.

Got the impression some community thinks the healer just a commodity that follows around. No wonder tanks running away and start bosses without healers and/or buffs on. This negates the MMO common sense I made in the years, as example wait buff and healer in range before start aggro. On top of that, then blaming healer because he wasn't so fast as tank on running ahead. This is L-O-L.
Also saw i100 Tanks doing noob things as go aggro without even checking if buffs on and healer in range. One also started aggro while I still were in first CS.

I had that happen to me the other day, am preparing to put on buffs which takes like 2sec to cast but apparently that's too long for this group they just run off, ask for them to wait in chat no reaction! trying to catch I take a wrong turn and get killed by adds, party wipes, tank rage quits and dps vote abandon. Should have used 'follow' LOL

Really doh, you seem to be acting overly negative about how I play the game.

You are wrong. I wish a GM or rep/dev would respond to show you that you are incorrect. Healer's job is always heal. That's your opinion only.

Let me put this into perspective.

Eos is capable of healing low level dungeons without the help of the SCH himself or herself.

Now if you're saying you don't want the SCH to overheal but to DPS then as aforementioned anything beyond healing from a healer is a bonus.

Is he at the keyboard pressing buttons and putting in some effort? If yes then he can be as bad as he wants, I'll carry that scrub even if he gets hit by every AoE. >:3c

You realized that as a SCH, if everyone hates "follow" so much, there is no difference that I still pet heal only and not gonna DPS but just to do /manderville or /change pose or /laugh at the mobs all day long? Well that makes me mash buttons.

People just like to have something to complain about and feel superior over. SCH's swag healing is a non-issue.
