As a tank I know what I can and can't pull but I will pull enough so that the healer gets the point and start healing. I don't care if they DPS (entirely different debate), if they do its a bonus, but what I do care is if they are doing their job healing me and are actively trying to be engaged in the party. I don't like it when people get carried through a dungeon. If you need to afk for like 5 mins or more I get it, rl happens, but when its the entire dungeon (excluding/including final boss) and you don't mention anything in chat that annoys me and is one of the main reasons I don't do low level roulette.
I don't support carries of any kind and refuse to be a part of it. Period.
Not really possible cos pet heal only generally exist in lowbie dungeons when you have a level synced SCH in a under lvl 30 dungeon where all "SCH" abilities shouldn't even exist. So you won't get Mage's Ballad under lvl 30. (OP's dungeon in question is Tam Tara)
The design flaw is not their fault but their willingness to exploit it to get a free lunch on the backs of their teammates most certainly is. And yeah they have done their job, so have the bots I was forced to carry in Halatali and Brayflox NM before votekick was implemented. Doesn't make it ethical or right on that persons behalf IMO.
That's perfectly fine. I may not give them any commendations but as long as they are working as part of the team it's fine by me.
Is he at the keyboard pressing buttons and putting in some effort? If yes then he can be as bad as he wants, I'll carry that scrub even if he gets hit by every AoE. >:3c
And I never called you a terrible person, maybe a terrible teammate, but not person. Some people prefer the easy route and honestly I can't blame them, this game can get pretty repetitive and grindy at times. However leaving an AI to do your job for you while your teammates have to put in some modicum of effort just irks me is all.

Offended? Never said I was offended. But yes, it's selfish. 1/4 sees that they can get away with putting in less or even no effort compared the their team mates. They then take advantage of that. It's selfish. I never really have a problem with people being that way, I just leave if I think it's an issue and don't make a stink about it. What I see as the real problem is people saying it's not selfish or whatnot, when it is. Be honest about it, don't try to prop yourself up as the innocent. There's nothing selfish about it. I'm doing my job. DPSing as a healer is going the extra mile for your party, whether you think they should or not. It just so happens that Eos and Selene are capable of handling all the healing under certain circumstances and I'm going to take advantage of that how I see fit. If I feel like popping cleric stance and spamming ruin to help dps a little, cool. If I feel like watching youtube in the middle of fights because Eos happens to be more healing than the party needs then I'm going to do that.
I'm sorry that you're offended because you're too "principled" to slack in a harmless fashion.

But know that you've wandered into a zone of Meta-philosophy which poses the exact same straight gates as these two more-recognizable scenarios -
"It's not illegal. But it's morally and ethically wrong."
"It's the law. But it's morally and ethically wrong to comply."
Having a feature marked as known/acceptable from the developer's POV, still doesn't make it right to use the feature.
