Do you really believe SE intended for a single class to afk follow an entire instance?

As you said it is fundamentally a design flaw from SE. Why blame the SCH for able to afk'n due to this thou? It's not like the SCH's fault. As long as no one dies he has done his job.

While WHM can't fully AFK, WHMs can semi-afk without DPSing even on fights like Stone Vigil. Been there done that while chatting with team mates or half falling asleep.

The design flaw is not their fault but their willingness to exploit it to get a free lunch on the backs of their teammates most certainly is. And yeah they have done their job, so have the bots I was forced to carry in Halatali and Brayflox NM before votekick was implemented. Doesn't make it ethical or right on that persons behalf IMO.

That's perfectly fine. I may not give them any commendations but as long as they are working as part of the team it's fine by me.

Would you commend me for wiping my party because the DRG doesn't do his rotations perfectly even though he knows how, even if he's still easily killing mobs; disrupting 2 others who may have nothing to do with it?

And I never called you a terrible person, maybe a terrible teammate, but not person. Some people prefer the easy route and honestly I can't blame them, this game can get pretty repetitive and grindy at times. However leaving an AI to do your job for you while your teammates have to put in some modicum of effort just irks me is all.

Sorry. I didn't mean to imply that you called me a terrible person specifically. I was referring to the notion that I (and other people who let Eos/Selene do all the work/afk/whatever) are apparently considered bad people for not going above and beyond for a party and choosing to be lazier than other members.

However, SCH just happens to be in a unique position where people can play like this and still do their jobs and I'll be damned if I let someone tell me that I'm wrong for doing so mainly because their job can't easy mode it too. If you don't like it, don't play with SCHs
