my gf lets her selene auto-heal 99% of the dungeons (including the last 3 in the so-called "expert" roulette). She just lets me know so that I pick 2 packs instead of the whole bunch, and we can semi akf-chat while the dps do their job.

mobs die. I don't. Dps don't. Everyone is happy.

OP, have you try healing some of these lowbie dungeons? It's boring as hell even if I clicked "Cure/Physick".

Yeah I could DPS but I choose not to and chat with my FC mates to keep myself awake. I don't really see a point because the cast time for Stone/Ruin is so long, probably only get to hit the mob 2-3 times or so before it dies.

If anything were to be blamed, it will be SE's design. No jobs were able to use skills learnt at a higher level when level sycn down, and SCH are the only ones who could bring EOS/Selene down to a level 30 and below dungeon when there are no such thing as a SCH prior to level 30.

I could manually walk around the dungeon instead of clicking "follow" and let my pet heal since you complained about "follow". Any issues as long as none of the party members are dead? You get your heals while I entertain myself with FC chat. I doubt GMs are going to warn me for grieving or harassment because you guys still got healed and no one died, period.

Stack vit if u don't mind getting hit by some aoes
I browse the forums / facebook etc when i have to heal low level dungeons.
My policy is
" as long as no one dies and the group is making progress. "
Dpsing is like the cherry on top. Great! but isn't mandatory.

I'm glad I play healer 80% of the time when I do my roulette. I don't think I could handle getting some of you to play healer(or lack of play?) for me.

My party members should worship me way more often.

I've never thought of using follow, I usually just stay cleric and then bio1/2 and then chat in my LSes in dungeons below 50. I guess the way I see it is pretty common- if I'm the healer and nobody dies, it's not a big deal.

It's about contributing. Tank can flash mobs all day, provoke, etc never hit them. It's fine because he's holding hate, one dps can go to sleep because the other will do the work(as long as dies, right?) See how this mentality goes? It's disgusting, and people who think that it's okay are just as dirty.

No dragoon should be doing that. You got TT and VT in all dungeons.

Either way, you shouldn't be screwing off in a middle of an instance, it's bad etiquette. If you summon can handle healing alone, dps. Quicker you can get it done the better.

BTW I hope people understand that I am not saying that I would not DPS (because I do) and that it's not bad etiquette (because it is), but I'd just be..quite indifferent if I ran into said healer.

Wow, no wonder DR sucks so much, with the majority of you sounding like you're saying you're happy for people to not pull their weight and do the absolute bare minimum to get through a dungeon, and not even pay attention yourself half the time. Sorry but if I felt like someone was in there wanting a carry, they would get a kick. If you don't want to be in the dungeon, if it's so mind-numbingly boring that you can't be bothered to do it - then really you shouldn't be there. Don't go in and half-arse it and not do everything you could be doing to make that run a bit smoother/quicker.

This entire thread has made me so happy we can go into DR with pre-mades so I can go in with friends who are at least willing to put some effort in and make the dungeon interesting instead of not pulling their weight and expecting a carry.
