Camera set distance stuck to default setting

The camera distance for first-person view, Event NPC Camera lock normal view and Event NPC first-person view are stuck to default settings and reset if changed and entered again.

    Platform: Windows

    ISP: AT&T

    Internet Connection: DSL

    Date: 7/21/2011

    Frequency: Always

    Character: Hotohori Ryu

    World: Saronia

    Steps:

    1) Enter first-person view with the character and adjust the distance of the camera
    2) Change to normal third-person view and go back to first-person view
    3) The first-person view will have returned to the default camera distance

    1) Interact with any NPC with Event NPC Camera Lock active and change the distance of the camera
    2) Finish interaction with the NPC
    3) Interact with any NPC again with Event NPC Camera Lock active and the distance you previously set will have been reset to default settings

    1) Interact with any NPC with Event NPC Camera Lock active while in first-person view and change the distance
    2) Finish interaction with the NPC
    3) Interact with any NPC again with Event NPC Camera Lock active while in first-person view still and it will have been set to default

Note: The new Save Camera Position function works wonderfully and saves the camera position for third-person normal viewing even after logging off and on but now the other types of camera view don't remain set for even one instance. The default camera distances are far too zoomed in for my preference and hope to see the Save Camera Position function save the distance settings for all modes of camera views.

    Greetings, Hotohori!
Thank you for posting your concerns about your camera being stuck. I have made sure to submit all of the information that you have provided to the development team, and they will conduct a thorough investigation into this matter, based on your report. Unfortunately, I cannot guarantee that a direct response will be posted on this thread, but I do recommend checking on http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com/ or http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/f...40-Patch-Notes for any news about the development team's investigation. Thanks again for your report!
