Atma... I'm fine with, I made my piece with the RNG gods with regard to Atma.
Animus... I like the measurable progress, I'm okay with the method, I've had a really hard time with the sheer Myth cost & the fact you couldn't collect the books in advance of obtaining all 12 Atma's (I was forced to blow about 900 Myth whilst still getting Atma's to avoid cap).
Novus... I feel the Sphere Scroll cost alone feels like a low-blow in lieu of Atma/Animus grinds (even if it is only a one-time fee). I am happy they've added alternative methods of obtaining Alexanderites but 75 materia to go with them, all the way up to grade IV's with a chance for failure feels to me, entirely excessive.
Star-3 Mat's... cost Myth, sure we can buy them at the MB but they're costing some ignorant person their Myth or hindering progress for another. It's fine that they do, I just feel there already needed to be another method of obtaining them (I feel like I'm cheating people from their Relic quest-line when I ask to buy the materials off them for gil, just my own personal issue... but still, it feels crappy).
My biggest gripe isn't with the time-investment or the grind, it's with the sheer Myth requirement in lieu of all else that's required. And even though Myth isn't a requirement for Alexanderite, just having it as an uncapped option feels off... if I wanna bolster my progress toward Novus, I'm hindering my potential progress on a 2nd Animus or vice versa... that's just one scenario.
There are a number of revisions to the process I think SE should consider, surely these form my own ideas/opinions & are not perfect... so any input is appreciated, positive or negative.
Here they are...
Reduce Animus Book cost to 1,200 Myth.
Reduce Animus FATE Respawns to 2-3 hours maximum.
Add alternative purchasing for Animus books (e.g. 300 Soldiery).
Add alternative purchasing for Alexanderite (e.g. 200 Soldiery & 25k Seals).
Add alternative purchasing for Star-3 Mat's (e.g. 125 Soldiery & 15k Seals).
Adjust i70 Dungeon drops from 25>25>0 Myth to 15>15>30 Myth to encourage 'full-running'.
Adjust Daily Roulette: Guildhest (lvl. 50) from 0 Myth to 20 Myth.
Adjust Timeworn Maps from 3-9 Myth (Boarskin) & 5-15 Myth (Peisteskin) to 5-15 & 20-30, respectively.
Redesign Transmutation to "trade 3 for a guaranteed, random tier upgrade".
Remove chance of failure from Novus infusion (if there's even a chance to fail on the grade IV's...).
