I just wanted to get some ideas on how other mnks are upgrading there novus. I have some ideas on gear swapping depending on the way you upgrade. Obviously you can make your novus better than the glanzfaust by making it 44 acc and 31 det, which is what i was thinking of doing and by ditching some extra acc by possibly getting the sold gloves instead of the high allagan gloves, but Im also considering 44 crit and 31 det. Without the acc tho it my be rough for future content. Thoughts?

I'm hearing that it's impossible to actually set a weapon to 44 <some stat> and 31 Determination. Having this choice of stats does not change the fact that Determination has a higher weight on gear than Crit Rate, Accuracy, and Skill Speed.

Putting a main stat of Accuracy and a second stat of Determination on your Novus will very likely equal the Glanzfaust: 44 Accuracy and 22 Determination. This comparison is valid because they are both i110 weapons. I'd say if you want to get more Determination, see if you can make Determination the main stat. Perhaps you can add 31 Determination and a lower amount of Accuracy.

Im actually doing the scroll right now, on 4th meld and the det does in fact cap at 31 and acc caps at 44.

Hm, if that's what the numbers actually are, then the Novus will most certainly have more weight in secondary stats than equivalent weapons. That's kind of strange. I hope this isn't some kind of setup for a bait and switch where you end up with 22 Determination anyway... but SE made sure you had to meld 75 times like everyone else despite choosing Determination.
