The map is used up when you open the chest to spawn the enemies. You even have to confirm this.
Die and be raised in the same zone and you can still finish it before time runs out.
The problem is more about players expecting everything to be faceroll easy.
team up with friends for expert roulette=> do maps for every team member, if you're DPSyou'll be done before you'd enter roulette taging solo

That Map basically does Reward you with "800 Myth". Can we stop complaining about every "little challenging" content and ask for a nerf? It is getting to a pathetic level, of where i wonder if certain people should rather go and Play Tetris.
I guess that can be correct. XD

3 maps so far, no losses. As PLD with rank 10 attack chocobo, these are my findings so far:
Day 1: 2 Ogres. Completely easy. Chocobo survived with pretty low HP. I never got hit with any of thier cone attacks, so no idea how much that would hurt.
Day 2: 4 Drakes that surrounded me & seemed to always use cone attack at same time. Chocobo got owned, resummoned another. Came pretty close to time limit, but no real problems.
Day 3: Golem + repeated bombs. The bomb would pop and not aggro for about 15 seconds, then beeline to me and swiftcast self-destruct. Runing away as they started to chase allowed me to avoid half of them, but they still hit for 1700 to 2k on iLvL101 PLD. HG on 2nd set. Chocobo lived without issue.
Since I've heard about the Malboro that binds & does breath, I always pull lowbie enemies before opening chest just in case I get that one. I have no idea how half the classes are expected to survive the bomb one. That was pretty vicious.
All of these fights so far have been laughably easy even on Dragoon which is not exactly a great solo class compared to some of the others like Scholar. It's nothing but basic battle strategies and knowing your strengths and weaknesses. Regarding the bombs suicide rushing, that won't happen if you kill them before attacking the golem. If you're at level 50 and have an Animus weapon a lot of this stuff should be common sense by now. Same goes for the mandragoras, they're all hella weak and have very little HP. The weapon reward for this quest is i110, if you're still in i60 gear you're doing it wrong.
Bring some potions, throw Second Wind on your bar, summon Chocobo, use your abilities and everything you've got and you should have very little issue with any of these. There's nothing to nerf other than the entitled attitude a lot of people seem to have regarding the acquisition of high end gear. This is as bad as when people were complaining about the bee adds on Demon Wall..
