Just wanted to back you up on that;

Lore tells us;
Primals= Bad for Life and ppl in general. We kill Primals...cause ya know; BAD for Life and Everything. *here comes the /sigh lore twist*
FC Summoning= Good thing, is eco friendly, and doesnt kill the planet, even though that's the number 1 reason we as players kill Primals. And as a FC with only BAD reputation for the Primal, we get to summon and Control it, even though their original beast tribes can't.
So yeah, contradictions.

SE should just meet us half way. Summon minions. As long as I can have a good looking summon after me, it doesn't have to actually do any fighting. It is the art I like, and the game play does not matter.

And these should come from various Summoner side quests so nobody has to pay 25 million for a minion. (Because that is how popular good summon pets would be)

Well the OP is right. I never really personally played summoner but what was the point of them half-arsing the avatars? They focused everything else to be detailed. Hell even he minions look more detailed.

Say all you want. Primals will Always be selfish and bad, because that's their nature. No matter what they say to make it O.K to summon primals through FC, it would still go against lore, since Primals are BAD, in any way. We get through the whole current Storyline in which Primals are presented as selfish and merciless monsters with their own agenda, no matter how they put it in the future to make primal summoning O.K, it would still go against EVERYTHING we have been through in the storyline. It would be like saying Sin from FFX suddenly became good, cause ya know..I changed the lore that all of sudden. Wouldn't make sense.
But please, I would love to hear of a way to summon THE primal, and not have it go against all of current lore. And have it fit, so the FC; Yellowpink fluffy bunnies can summon them like some retainer when they feel like it.

EDIT: the Point of my post is to Point out the contradictions in this game, and the fact that you can't use LORE as an argument for anything in this game, anymore. Cause SE will change it regardless of the lore, and that it why they CAN change whatever they feel like changing; like making egis more impressive.

Not to mention that according to the current Lore there are no more Jobs in the world. But SE is of course going to make additions to the Lore, which will give us more Jobs.

Same with summons really. They just need to add "You can get a egi plus version because you are such a great player".

What's amazing is how easy all of this would be. All they need to do is shrink the primals to an acceptable size and add some extra glow. It's not like they would have to spend months upon months to redesign egis. Instead just shrink the primals and give the people who like egis the option to keep the egi look.

Make it a glamour thing if you don't want to mess with "lore"

Actually it is a cultural thing. You can't tell a Japanese person "You did wrong", because it is not polite and it is terribly shameful to be wrong.

Instead we need to convince them that we want options and alternatives. Pet glamour, Pet minions, Pet upgrade possibilities.

But seriously... FF is known for summons and graphics.... not sure why WoW summons look cooler than the "chicken nuggets" in this game.... the summons here look like the OLD EQ summons... BEFORE they updated their graphics.

If you do not like cluttered screens in a Massively Multi-Player Online game, I don't know what to tell you. It is not that serious imo. SE was lazy with those primals and trying to use the "lore" as an excuse for their uncreative design. No-one is asking for Godzilla meets mothra; humanoid size would do imo or any of the above sizes. What is their excuse for the lack of primal facial features? The ps2 managed to implement this, just saying. I have done plenty events with smns; Titan's size was the least of our worries.....actually, ppl used to comment on galka's size XD. Even if titan was out for a decent amount of time; he was usually out of the dd range; perhaps that was a AI feature or something.
