while i kinda agree with the other posters, MMO's just might not be for you. i wont be so harsh as to say you should quit the game but maybe explore some of the other things to do in the game. End game will always revolve around dodging mechanics and split second reaction times because thats what we have grown accustomed to and to step it down now would only serve to turn more people away

i definitely sympathize with the OP and others like him tho, those people coming to FFXIV with an expectation that the combat would be slower or more on pace with a turn based game(something that final fantasy was kind of known for) are definitely going to in for a surprise when they get here

To OP, if you like the game enough then try to work around your limitations like others have mentioned.
A larger resolution screen can help to see more of what's going on in a fight.
Setting up a comfortable UI will help a lot with reaction time.
After muscle memory training, a gaming mouse can be great because of key binding most skills to mouse buttons which reduces point and click time and keyboard management.
Choosing a class that suits your skill is an idea too. Bard can move and shoot so it could be a good option.

Yeah, it has been said already that this is how MMOs work in general, it's part of their charm, really. For some it's just not their thing, and that's understandable. However, the FC pricing comment kinda hurt your credibility to some degree, though it requires effort of an entire FC to achieve. Personal housing=/=FC housing. Anyway, back on topic: Every single MMO ever created has required dedication in small or large doses. If you can't invest such time and effort to improve your reflexes (I always say "Practice makes perfect") then this entire genre of gaming is just not for you. Some people just don't have enough reaction time for some things in this game, or all depending on their situation, and that's fine. There are other games out there that may better suit your needs. As someone said above though there are other aspects of the game to enjoy and ways to work around whatever issues you are having, and they had some good suggestions.

While I cannot give a specific date on when personal housing will be implemented, I can say that prices will be completely separate from free company housing, and, naturally, far more affordable.

Also, the community in FFXIV is almost as bad as WoW.

FWIW, I've played and enjoyed WoW for almost two years, LotRO for over two years, I'm still raiding in SWtOR every week, and would be playing TSW if I could talk any of my friends into playing it. None of they require military drill team precision to clear content and my reflexes have been sufficient to keep up with content.

SWtOR does have annoying jump puzzles in the form of datacrons, but it also has character abilities that allow a group to help each other complete them. SE left me completely on my own for Sightseeing.
