healers more rare than tanks?

so I have been taking a tanking break recently and playing as a DPS, and in most long queues when i check the status i am missing both heals and have both tanks. The same thing seems to happen with party finder too. we end up having both tanks and missing both heals. Anyone else noticing this?

Because so many new tanks now a days have the don't tell me what to do attitude. They want to stand in Monsters attacks and let the healer play catch up with their HP or they face a boss in a bad direction and don't care because it's how they want to do it...

I would also assume that healers get tired of people yelling at them if something fails, because of the reasons mentioned in the above post (tanks standing in the danger zone and making the healer play catch up)...I (on my healer) haven't received such treatment YET, since I'm still just doing story dungeons and people are generally more educational and forgiving at this point.

Hmm the answer to OP question isnt about healers malice because that just how current healers feel. The real answer is SE introduced the Lion and Bear mounts plus the common fact that queues are faster for tanks. That means more tanks less queue time for DPS. However, SE did not take into fact that Healer is a variable that plays a part in the queue times. Now we have an exceed amount of tank and the same amount of healers before patch.

If you're a tank, of course you'll be waiting on healers more often. You've already filled one of the rare tank spots. >.>

But aside from that, the bear and lion mounts really increased the number of (bad) tanks.

I've definitely seen my queue times decrease over the past month or so. I get instant queues as WHM 90% of the time now, and am able to join parties that are 7/8 constantly. I'm loving this!

^ This. Both the new influx of dps and tanks with poor attitudes has been horrible. I've been doing more dps over healing and tanking now.

I was planning on taking a break and letting my subscription drop (technically started the break awhile ago but I was on the 6mo sub), but it sounds like I'm needed back in Eorzea!

Seriously though, while I don't consider myself a hardcore healer (I don't really dabble much with the super-endgame stuff until it's one set behind), I feel like it's my best role. So I don't usually do more than a quick review of myself if I get gripes before I realize it's just someone trying to pin the blame on someone else. This IS the reason I don't typically tank though; unlike the healer role, I'm not in my element in the Tank role. Throw in the nasty attitudes on top of that and I just gave up playing as a tank a while ago or I would have unsubbed far quicker than I did. (Though I still have 2 weeks left on my sub and I've already decided to keep my sub going after all)

I'd heal (or tank) but... meh. I don't want to deal with bad attitudes and bad players.
