    SMN Macros?

I made these three macros for my Summoner (be nice, I'm new to making them)

    DoTs macro:
    /ac "Bio II" <t>
    /wait 2.5
    /ac "Miasma II" <t>
    /wait 1.5
    /ac "Bio" <t>

    Macro i use right after:
    /ac "Aetherflow"
    /wait 1.5
    /ac "Bane" <t>
    /wait 1.5
    /ac "Virus" <t>
    /wait 1.5
    /ac "Fester" <t>

and then DPS macro after those two:
    /ac "Ruin" <t>
    /wait 2.5
    /ac "Ruin" <t>
    /wait 2.5
    /ac "Ruin" <t>

Any kind of help will be appreciated <3

For one, you need to wait longer then 16 minutes for a response.

For two, don't put your damage abilities on macros like that. It's prone to failure, lazy, and inflexible. It also reduces your dps.

The only macros you should be using with summoner are Swiftcast Shadow Flare and Swiftcast Res.

Yes, what Bombast said.. There really is no need for macro's whatsoever on SMN, as it does hurt your potential and prevents you from making adjustments on the fly while dealing with various fight mechanics. I've had to get on to our static SMN for using macros, (I'm not sure which one) but one of them he was using kept getting him killed from Blighted Bouquet, because it had a Wait time in it.

Generally acceptable Macros are swiftcast/raise and swiftcast/shadow flare.. And a macro for Rouse and Spur.. That's about it.

Just some added info. Fairly certain the wait command only supports full seconds. So 2.5 wouldn't work as a command.

I have quite a few macros, because honestly I don't want to have to constantly push buttons. I have one for bio II, miasma II, then bio, then one in the reverse order with an extra bio on the end. Between the two macros I don't ever not have one of the three on a mob.

Also, I have a 3x energy drain with ruins in between them. as a way to burn through my aetherflow.

I also have a chain of ruin 1 spam, with an echo at the end when it completes.

    Hope this helps!

It's been a bit since I looked at them, but I thought it was ok in increments of .5. I'm pretty sure it at least used to be that way.

I remember reading it works to the first decimal place. I may be mistaken though.

I still use macro's for each egi ability so 1 macro will try to use the first ability each egi has and will obviously only fire off the current active Egis ability. It's easier than having macro's for each pet ability individually.

I took a long break though so there might be a generic "pet ability 1" "pet ability 2" etc. Macro

I wouldn't say "only". I playing on PS4, macros are necessary to save cross-bar space. I personally can't have more than 2 slots to switch between, and i'm cheating at that to only have 1 cross-bar and 1 half bar when L2+R2 are pressed

I wouldn't put any macros in with wait timers, every time i've done that and been in a stressful fight its always messed me up, causing me to think things haven't been pressed or i did something wrong.

    Some macros i use:

ruin with ruin II to activate if i'm running
    /micon Ruin
    /ac "Ruin" <t>
    /ac "Ruin II" <t>

I start my DOTs with BioII and so i know whenever i'm gonna start a rotation i always have RS on when its possible. don't use wait on this one just double press the button, adding a wait makes it too slow
    /micon Bio II
    /ac "Raging Strikes" <me>
    /ac "Bio II" <t>

    /micon Shadow Flare
    /ac "Swiftcast" <me>
    /ac "Shadow Flare" <me>

Bane can add Garuda's Aerial Slash to
    /micon Bane
    /pac "Aerial Slash" <t>
    /ac "Bane" <t>
you could also add a miasma II in there if you wanted to and just use it for trash SR mobs, one less click

    obey and heel, need this
    /micon Obey
    /ac "Obey" <me>
    /ac "Heel" <me>
you should have sic and place also on you hot bar, but this just rolls 2 buttons into one.

virus and eye for an eye, pretty useful if your group is asking for some extra def when healers don't have eye for an eye
    /micon "Eye for an Eye"
    /ac "Virus" <t>
    /ac "Virus" <tt>
/ac "Eye for an Eye" <t>
/ac "Eye for an Eye" <tt>

I think i have a few others, can't think of them. Truthfully, they are just meant to have actions go off that would normally always have one fallowing the other (RS then BioII for ex.) But ya, avoid "scripting" your fights. Its not reliable even though it sounds easier.

    this guy does alright:

This guy has an awesome macro set for scholars, which some of it is useful:

No, the macros only works on full seconds. The first decimal place is rounded.
Thus, 2.5 is always 3 under execution.
