How do I progress after ilvl90?

Hello, I started playing 3 weeks ago because a friend brought me into it and I quickly surpassed him in gear/experience/clears. At this point I am wondering how it is I am supposed to further progress. Based on what I can tell I have pretty much capped out on what a solo player can do, and now only have the option of joining a static so that I can run coil content.

I have tried doing coil content and Ex primals, and while I have the fights down pretty well and never die to mechanics it seems like everyone else wipes 4 or 5 times and then the party disbands. I have been trying to clear Garuda EX all day for 3 days now and have only had 1 successful clear in at least 75 attempts (need that ring!!).

Party Finder isn't much better. even when groups advertise "1 shot or disband" or "only join if you can 1 shot" they still do the same thing. Wipe 4 or 5 times and then disband. I have had the same experience in all Bahamut coils that I have tried.

Is this the end for me?

Have to keep trying PF till you find a group that can do it. It shouldn't be hard to find ones that can clear Garuda. Titan on the other hand...

Primals don't give much in the way of gear, besides the leviathan weapons and moogle ex necklace.

If you are decked in ilvl 90, the upgrades you are looking for can be found in second coil and soldiery gear. As for weapons, you can upgrade via coil turn 5, leviathan ex or continuing the relic quests to obtain atma/novus.

I think the first thing you need to do is to level up your subclasses.

Arcanist to 34 for Eye for Eye and Thaumaturge to 26 for swiftcast

The best thing you can do is join a FC or LS that matches your playstyle and time. That way you know what you're getting, compared to PF/DF.

you need to join a static. as im sure you will agree the general populace on eu and na servers is trash as far as player quality goes.
an alternative would be to transfer to a jp server (tonbery has a large english speaking population for example). japanese players are much better and youll be able to clear ex primals and coil in df no problem really. of course you will run into the frustration of "jp only" pf groups as well as general xenophobia and such...

First thing's first. Assume any PF group that's muttering about 1 shot only, is run by an asshole. Probability is that they're either someone looking to be carried or will blame anyone and everyone but themselves if the fight goes FUBAR, even if you know, for a fact, that it's their fault. In other words, a healthy dose of cynicism may save you some headaches.

Two: If you're not wearing the better soldier gear, that's an option for progression over ilvl 90.

Three: Find a group of competent individuals interested in raiding, regardless of their gear level. Help em get geared. Go raid.

Until now there have been mainly two means of progression: the first being defeating powerful enemies in end-game content to obtain high-item-level equipment, and the second being collecting Allagan tomestones to purchase gear. The Zodiac Weapons do not have the restrictions of these two methods, but are designed to take a long time to complete.
Current Tome Requirements for Zodiac Weapons:
    225+900+13500+1500= 16125
Additionally: Post limits are, flat-out, completely idiotic. 1k char limit's stupid to begin with but 20 posts a day? Seriously? What the hell SE?
