Saw a ton of people with the name "Mys ****" where the *** was something sort of random standing around Camp Horizon in Onion Doublets and more Onion Gear... is this a gang of RMT with those sorts of names?

Flokd cdls

aldkjfa afad

= RMT
I've already reported many of they Mys- named bots/RMT.
pretty easy to spot usually 1 Hyru and an army of lalas all with similar names
I've seen that guy...
In fairness to him, he might not be an RMT exactly just a multi-boxing dork who is in it for the SP/XP advantages.
After all, the community is kind of small for that at this point, you'd mostly have to be spending a lot of time hoping the PS3 launch would be huge and if it wasn't, it'd be a complete waste of time that never payed off.
He probably did lie in and/or create accounts and pretend to be multiple people in some fan site forum's 'request a buddy pass' thread to get multiple accounts for free and I get the feeling he will probably quit on many of them and/or try to sell the accounts as soon as the game gets a monthly subscriber fee.
And if you haven't given anybody your buddy pass yet, you might discover that if you ever do, the code has been used already, because some guy like that decided to crack the code generation for buddy passes rather than request them from request threads.

Back in November, the game's future didn't look too good, so all the gilsellers focused on more profitable markets. Now that FFXIV and it's player community are starting to improve, there's now a viable market. TBH though, if you have to buy gil for this game, you are either very lazy, or unworthy of even being called a casual gamer.
I agree with you, now that FFXIV is starting to pick up, the gilsellers are coming back slowly to see how the market is going.Back in November, the game's future didn't look too good, so all the gilsellers focused on more profitable markets.
