CT gear?

Is it worth gong through CT for gear or just go straight for mythos gear?

I'd go straight for myth gear since it may be quicker to farm at this point, the stat distribution on many pieces also seems safer since CT gear greatly lacks ACC.

If you're critically low on gear, CT will not only give you some 80 to fill the gaps, it will also give you 150 Myth per run, allowing you to more easily make that jump to the Myth gear.

I'd say go for it. You don't have to worry about Accuracy until you challenge the Binding Coil of Bahamut, and you'll have Myth pieces that give you enough accuracy by the time you're ready to do it.

Tbh I'd just avoid CT atm. There's not enough experienced players who do it (should have upped myth reward to 250+) and half the ones I tried resulted in abandonment.

Last successful run I did took well over an hour and 16 people got their achievement for completing at the end.

One of the big problems with CT is that most players who are serious about gearing up their class will just run Coil instead. It gives better loot and takes much less time/effort. Most CT tower runs end in failure not because of new players but because many players are there just to Troll. There are a few new players still running but those are not the majority I would suspect, and more often can easily be coached (if they would just learn to tell people they are new instead of being dumb and hiding in a corner). Your better off spamming HM dungeons for myth tombs or running coil on your main and using a greed party where you call lots.

i ran a couple times since 2.28. there's no way i can recommend farming this place for gear, unless you enjoy watching bads being bad. holy crap has it gone downhill. its like everyone that knows it left, and those that remain never cared enough to learn it. its like pulling teeth to get through ANYthing. you thought it was bad when the content was new? go ahead and try it now...

Yeah they really need to do something about CT, add some more furniture mats or something that drop, cause right now I just don't bother with it. Straight to myth gear and allagan for me

On the bright side, CT gear looks slick. especially if you have the Helm of Light.

There's also the point that until you get myth, CT gear is some of the best you can get. I've only got my Myth chest on PLD, and the rest are CT- and it works well enough to help me get through the hard mode dungeons and primals.

Yes, CT i80 gear for tanks really good, very famous iconic design, PLD and WAR can share, only lacks of ACC which is useless outside of coil.
I would suggest skipping as more as possible Myth i90 gear, farm Coil i90 gear while upgrading to Sol i100 gear.

Farm ATMA immediately, so you can spend your Myths on the books, then on the maps. ^^;
