Please give us some news. Before I registered my ffxiv acct, I specifically emailed SE to ask if my impending moving out of US would give me any billing issues and they said no... And now I can't use my credit cards as SE registered my US address while my credit card has been updated to my new Asian address..

UGC was the only way for me to pay as payment through PayPal resulted in the same transaction denied errors.

Please SE. Respond. Thanks.

good grief... It's Tuesday morning and this thread has already fallen back to post 115 already.

Nothing in the twitter feeds, nor the Lodestone, nor the Forum. We get notices about Global Collect's maintenance, but still no word on a potential deal breaker about the payment system for a large part of the game's population... and not just for XIV either, this can also affect XI and other content (present or future) that may involve Crysta.

Come on guys... step out of Coil for a few minutes and shoot off an email to someone who might be able to get some answers for us.... ^-^

most of us who used Ultimate Game Cards want square enix crysta cards or some other suitable alternative.

I got a email from Ultimate Game Card|Ultimate Insider suggesting Rixty and OpenBucks. which I suspect both would be suitable.

I have a feeling Playspan/UltimatePay would be happy to oblige SE on SE Crysta Cards. putting FFXI and FFXIV on the cards themselves would guarantee they got noticed as well

Craii... I WANT to pay.. I WANT to play.. But Se hasn't been taking any of my CC's or my husbands for a year now... I pay no matter via CC, Paypal you name it and get a Error for SE's side and they tell me im locked out for 24 hrs from trying again. 25 hrs later, same error. Ultimate game cards was one of the only things that worked for me ;;

Yes, the same checks that failed via credit card will fail again via PayPal. My payment through PayPal always transact as if it's OK, only to be hit with a transaction denied by SE, followed by a refund.

I've got the moola but SE doesn't like it. Even using UGC is a chore. I've got to buy the codes, make a failed transaction on mog station and inform UGC of the transaction reference for them to manually credit my crysta balance. I like this game and I'm already jumping through hoops with UGC. I think this is it once UGC goes down

I have to do this too. It's ridiculous. Credit cards.. prepaid cards.. Paypal.. you name it. they all say the error comes from SE and they have to push it through -if- you lucky enough to reach them. As for reaching SE? Ha.

So I just got off customer support. They told me that they couldnt remove the billing lock they put on me for trying with a non american credit card. They said to me that the IP address and the credit card need to belong to the region the account belongs to (so wait, only americans, europeans and japan are allowed to pay with credit cards?).

But here's the kicker: they told me that for every rejection, they invisibly lock your account, billing wise, for one day. Extra errors and rejection will add one more day (it stacks) but they wont tell you that. So if you try your credit card and then square rejects it, they will lock your account for one day (but not tell you). You won't know it and you will try again right after that error...and you get 2 day lock. Tried 4 times in 5 minutes? You got locked for 5 days without even knowing the lock even exists. I must have tried like 8 times or something.

This is amazingly baffling.

I can also vouch for this. they told me as much too. waited a week and still got a error and another lock out.

I wonder what % of players use UGC for payment. Hopefully it's a huge hit to SE's bottom line that they just lost millions in sub fees because UGC are useless now. Only way they'll notice is if this hurts their bank enough.

Please find us an alternative SE, this is how I pay for my gf's account and since we're long distance this is the only thing we do together don't take that away from us please

Come on guys... UGC announced this in their June 6th newsletter... 3 weeks ago. Pretty sure there was a private notice released to it's business partners before then (not only S.O.P., but professional courtesy as well).

At least acknowledge the issue even if you don't have a solution in place just yet.

I got that one too, even made the suggestion SE consider using one of the ones mentioned in the email
