Not sure if this is possible or has additional fees but, have you tried linking your CC with paypal and using paypal instead?

Yes, the same checks that failed via credit card will fail again via PayPal. My payment through PayPal always transact as if it's OK, only to be hit with a transaction denied by SE, followed by a refund.

I've got the moola but SE doesn't like it. Even using UGC is a chore. I've got to buy the codes, make a failed transaction on mog station and inform UGC of the transaction reference for them to manually credit my crysta balance. I like this game and I'm already jumping through hoops with UGC. I think this is it once UGC goes down

SE doesn't care enough about the small percentage of players in similar bind.

Went around to a few stores looking for Ultimate Game Cards, they've pretty much been phased out where I am. I managed to find a Best Buy that has the XIV 60 day time cards, but I'm also planning to resub to XI, which the time cards won't work for.

Anyone know if the charge for pre-paid credit/debit cards (hell, Visa gift cards even) get charged outside of the U.S. when purchasing Crysta? I'd rather not buy one and waste my time, did that once trying to get a game on GOG lol.

Stores already starting to pull the cards from their shelves here. Some of the guys at one of our local Hellmarts use them also, and have hidden a handful behind some of the other cards instead of pulling them all so people can still buy them in the coming weeks/months (stupid limit on how much Crysta you can load at once).

Clock is ticking SE... I know we still have a few months, but we both know how much trouble you guys have with setting up new payment systems.

Well this is not good. After my first subscription ran out I didn't auto renew it for a week and when I tried to using both of my credit cards Mogstation gives me errors (no the cards are not full or anything like that) I've called my bank and contacted SE but it just doesn't work. They suggested Crysta as did many other people that have this problem unfortunately this is the only way to get it for me so this isn't good.

PCgamesupply(.com) still has a bunch of UGC cards for sale, for whoever's still looking. I managed to snag enough for another 8mo. Hopefully there'll be a replacement by then.

Please give us some news. Before I registered my ffxiv acct, I specifically emailed SE to ask if my impending moving out of US would give me any billing issues and they said no... And now I can't use my credit cards as SE registered my US address while my credit card has been updated to my new Asian address..

UGC was the only way for me to pay as payment through PayPal resulted in the same transaction denied errors.

good grief... It's Tuesday morning and this thread has already fallen back to post 115 already.

Nothing in the twitter feeds, nor the Lodestone, nor the Forum. We get notices about Global Collect's maintenance, but still no word on a potential deal breaker about the payment system for a large part of the game's population... and not just for XIV either, this can also affect XI and other content (present or future) that may involve Crysta.

Come on guys... step out of Coil for a few minutes and shoot off an email to someone who might be able to get some answers for us.... ^-^

most of us who used Ultimate Game Cards want square enix crysta cards or some other suitable alternative.

I got a email from Ultimate Game Card|Ultimate Insider suggesting Rixty and OpenBucks. which I suspect both would be suitable.

I have a feeling Playspan/UltimatePay would be happy to oblige SE on SE Crysta Cards. putting FFXI and FFXIV on the cards themselves would guarantee they got noticed as well
