I too have been hoping to see player repair come back, and as someone said above, this would have been the perfect patch to implement it.

SE, please, pretty pretty please with sprinkles on top, bring back the option for us to repair other players' gear.

Everyone thought paid retainers and fantasia would be the end of it.
    You were warned.

The ability to request repair and request meld is one of the things I was very disappointed to see didn't make the transfer when I came back to the game from 1.0. Although I see someone quoted that the devs have stated it isn't high on the list, I do hope that now that they have made changes to player repairs in general it is a sign that they may move it up the list some. Perhaps they will look at this change to see how many people start looking toward repairing their own gear and use that as a basis for whether they should look into the ability to repair others' gear more closely?

I like it this way, as a perk for crafters only. I dont want to repair other people every time.

Even not if you get paid for it?

If you don't want to repair other people gears, then don't do it.
But let other people do it who want it

    Yep. This.

I didn't have the patience to level a crafter in 1.0, but I always had respect for those that did. Whenever I requested a repair or a meld, I always gave them a little something for their troubles. Especially when they were repairing or melding gear that was going to the MB.

As cool as repairing other people's gear might be... Wouldn't it get old after a while? lol

It's not like making someone's 3 star gear for them, where maybe you just make them one or a couple pieces in maybe one rare occasion. And with the 3 star armors, only a few of your friends might even spend the time having them made (there are cheaper alternatives that most people do instead).

Repairs is something EVERYONE needs done at some point and it's something you pretty much need to do daily or at least frequently. So, while there are lots of crafters out there that could do it (just need lvl40), it would make you really busy (since if it seems like a good idea, one would gleefully do it at first to be helpful)... And while, I agree, some people will pay you, most are going to expect it for free. Unless you solicit your crafts often, you don't really see that most people expect to only tip low, if at all. Oh yea, and most would expect you to provide the necessary dark matter, because well: "What do you mean it requires reagents to repair?! Do you have some extra I could use?"

Not to be negative, it's a nice idea, it really is. It just that I'm in no rush to see it changed... I really don't mind helping people. That's really not what this is about. It's more like people that demand you give to their particular charity, when you have a charity you already like and donate to. Most of us enjoy helping out in the ways we can. Repairing other peoples gear would become sort of a thing like "what do you mean you don't want to do it? are you selfish?" kind of thing, yanno, just after you repaired 100 peoples armor in a row and all you wanted to do is run one dungeon and haven't yet because of all the requests... lol The demand for people that want "help" will be HUGE and difficult to accommodate.

Seems you don't know how the 1.0 repair system worked.

should go look it up its what were looking back. 1.0 you put up a flag beside your name letting everyone know you were looking a repair that saw your char as well you needed to have the right DM in you inv or you couldn't request a repair. When you selected you needed a repair you have to pony up some cash and the dark matter for it. (depending on the item how much money) People use to just run by stop for one second and click repair that guy because 1 second it all it took. There isn't any reason why it can't work like it did before.

But go look up 1.0 system before coming telling me it would annoy people or wouldn't work. Was in the game once before and it will return just question of when?
