yea but you're at least guaranteed 1 alexandrite per day with the daily quest they implemented. On the other hand, you could go weeks without ever having an atma drop

It's not near as bad as people make it out to be. For every atma that took me hrs, I got the next within a few minutes.
but you see, there are some that go 10+ hours for EACH. some get lucky, some dont. thats the worst thing about choosing to go PURELY RNG on something like this. especially since it is only to get a new skin on the wep.
I've spent 3 hours a day for 5 weeks farming ATMAs, I have received zero drops. This system is broken.
I still think it evens out in the end. My East Shroud atma took me 12+ hrs alone. Yeah, it sucked but the others were maybe 2hrs at worst (each). I highly doubt there are any people out there that are having to grind 12+ hrs PER atma.
the only people in here that want to keep atma's systeme unchange are the one that already get thier atmas and dont want orther ppl get atma easier ! this system is really suck ! run the whole map to do Fate for only 1 random drop is stupid !
Today I must thank RNGesus for giving me 4 atma bringing my total to 7/12 now can only hope I won't go another 118 hrs without one hopefully the generous RNGesus will finally give me my last few so I can progress this.
I don't know how but they actually found a way to take the fun out of a video game for me, there is no fun or sense of progression in farming these fates for a lucky dice roll.
Personally once my sub ends at the end of this month I am out, if I want to waste my day doing something un-enjoyable I can go to work
The players that defend the current state of obtaining atmas are the ones that got lucky and found them in a reasonable amount of time. Theyre going to respond with "QQ and put in the time if you want your atma." Thats the issue tho. Most of us have put in the time, some even more time than those who already finished that part of the quest, and have nothing to show for it. You cant just say "put in the time" cause there is NO GUARANTEE that even if you put in the time you will get the atmas. How is it okay for someone to find 12 atma pieces in say 400 FATE while others are at 800+ and yet to even be half way done with the quest? Explain to me how this is type of system is ok.
And dont tell me well theres other weapons you could get. Yes there is, but the relic/zodiac weapon updates are going to keep coming. A large majority of the community is paying for content (Animus/Novus) that SE is keeping us from enjoying by implementing a stupid RNG element to the atma stage.
No i dont want the relic upgrade to be handed to me. No I dont mind a grind. I want to work for my upgrade. Yesterday I FATE grinded for 4 hours after my daily roulette and have nothing to show for it. While a PLD that join my FATE party received his atma after 15 minutes of joining. How is something like that ok?
Some of yall need to get off your high horse and see how truly broken this system is.
FC member of mine has been farming off an on since update for at least one hour per night. he is on 4 atma. total estimated time: 50 hours. Its actually very possible and very probable due to the nature of RNG. for every person that says oh i got it in 2 hours after 20 hours, there will be someone that is still stuck for 10+ hours to get each individual one. There is no way to prove or control the amount of time that it takes to get, therefor the "evening" out is impossible to predict and can not be used to argue the issue that atma drops are fine the way they are. SE should just realize they failed at making content that "will take a while" when they made the base step purely random. Random takes time for some, but for lots, its never going to get done until it gets changed to a progressive and somewhat controllable stage, which it should have been at the start.
They are doing great with the Animus and Novus stages as those actually achieve the goal of taking time and work for all players. Atma still is the worst thing they could have done, people cant even work towards getting the books/alexandrite until they have atma which means less people become interested in it due to the ridiculous rates set in place. It does not take any sort of work or time considering no one persons time/work can be set as a standard of what the upgrade should take.
I have already gotten my atma and i can attest that things really should change. I cant see how any one would willingly want to keep the drop rates insanely low as to block out players from getting to the next stages of a weapon that isnt even the best in the game. Its something that should take time, yes. But something that people have been working on since it was introduced while they have already released the next upgrade after deciding there was finally enough animus' to dictate the upgrade, is beyond stupid.
What really grinds my gears is that Yoshi stated he did not want everyones "hard work" to be "wasted" so they left it the way it was. What hard work is he exactly talking about? there is 0 hard work involved in atma farming. there is only the grind. thats it. People can try to sum it up as to "time = hard work", but the fact still remains others are "working harder" yet still not getting the same results as you did. hard work is an opinion, it can not be measured, and certainly can not be used as a reason to base such a ill-thought concept such as the ~1% atma drop rate.
